As I can see it, those Chinese artificial islands will be gone in 10 to 20 years when sea level rises compared to japan's or Norways.

1 to 2 decades is more than sufficient time for China to build a complete blue water navy. The artificial islands are a temporary solution.

Why all the hubbub about the Chinese Islands? They're really, really unimpressive by comparison, and hardly unique. Even from a military perspective an Island is a poor choice. Islands have a history of falling, Japan could tell China that better than anyone. Perhaps I'll get our Chinese friends a WWII in the Pacific history book for Christmas.

Sven says hello too (i'm staying with him until January)

come one now, you clearly know what the "hubbub" is about, plenty of large man made island has been built all over the world. many are larger than what china is doing in the SCS. the "hubbub" is about the political situation rather than anything super impressive about the islands themselve. however i will note the speed at which china conducted its islands, as well as the cost. with billions having been spent, china is clearly not going anywhere, not by a long shot. cry or sue all you want the PRC is there to stay.
