Really? Android just left Hwei, and Hwei phones r dead out side CN now
They need a better strategy to lift it up what they have planned! and it would be a matter of a few years if taken the right decision it may take over as a 3rd entity after iOS and Android. The new echo system.

No strategy will work, cos US-EU will say Hwei OS is spyware. Even Hwei boss will be arrested if travelling out side CN now/.

The most effective solution is that Japan relocates factories to Taiwan, Africa and South America. Taiwan has a very good supply chain.. Africa and South America are potential consumption markets with low labor costs

For China, the economy should be restructured from export model to consumption model. Domestic products are directly consumed. At the same time, to minimize the import of goods from abroad (except for raw materials). It ensures that China maintains its growth index and brings about trade surpluses

Only Mexico is good, the rest is hopeless. Take Africa. 10 years ago the chinese thought the same: the continent is a massive consumer market, a massive cheap manufacturing base. China invest huge money there.

The result: with chinese generosity, Africa manufacturing sinks from 2 percent to 1 percent on the world markets.

With huge debt burden the governments there don’t have money to buy chinese goods.

The lesson: never believe to cheap propaganda

Right now China is safest country for Corona, rest of the whoe world is dangerous. In one month the tide has turned the other way.

IMO Japan do it not due to economic reason alone, but also on security reason. It is a strategic move anyway so long term perspective and every possible scenario are calculated. This outbreak crisis may also prompt them to do this action faster as now they can clearly see how dependent their economy is on China.

If trade war is the only worry, so why Japanese gov make this action even before US next election is over so they can know surely whether the trade war with China will be long term US trade policy or not ?

If Corona is the worry, so why they ask Japanese companies to relocate since China is the only corona free country now ?

Look like you are more clever then Japanese strategies who has said clearly about two preferred relocation place which are back to Japan or South East Asia.

Thanks for your expert opinion my friend. There is always a way out all you have to think correctly while keeping the history and behaviours in mind. Its all about if they give up or not.

I'm not nervous when seeing news of firms from whatever country leave China. Cause China is not a normal developing country who relies on other countries' technologies and money. When they leave China, some other domestic companies will replace them very soon.

Agreed. The reality is that few developing countries can match China's infrastructure and labor pool, so while they may make plans, the reality is that the majority of foreign companies that have manufacturing in China still stay. Also, their activities constitute only a small part of the Chinese economy, even though the perception in the West is that somehow they constitute 90% of China's economy, which is absurd. The reality is that for many of these companies, China is already their largest market, so they will stay because they need to produce for their consumers.

There are a few core technologies that China desperately needs, the most important of which is semiconductors, both the end product and the manufacturing machinery required, currently only cornered by ASML. This along with a few other advanced manufacturing technology is really what China is dependent on. If China masters these technologies, it would basically be technologically independent.

Japan has only one weakness. That is the population. Just increase the birth rate, all problems will be solved. From manpower to the market.
Immigrants - absolutely not. The Japanese government is very smart, they will not repeat the mistakes of Germany and Europe

Japan's other problem is also cultural malaise. Japanese culture today is not the Japanese culture of the early 20th century. They are no longer ambitious. I've met some Japanese and they have stunted social skills, very introverted, not very talented and not ambitious at all. These people are good enough to maintain a clean, orderly society, they are not smart or talented enough to rule the world. In comparison with a lot of cutthroat, restless, strategizing Chinese, they are really no competition.

These companies don't have any investment in China anyways.

Yep, it should be for security reason, too. US is very angry at CN now due to XI hide news abt corona virus till he could not hide anymore and make million Cnese travel around the world before Huwan lockdown. US even rather die than asking help from CN for protective suits and send the materials to manufacture those suits in VN instead.

After US can control the virus, I guess the punishment will be very serious. Could be at least 30% tariff to all made in CN products plus no fly to CN till CN collapse :pop:

I totally agree. Japan in the early 20th century was the most powerful and feared nation in the world. Japan now just wants stability and safety. They are competent but lacking in ambition

Yes the hostility from the US will ratchet up significantly. China will be portrayed as Public Enemy No. 1, no bones about it. No more Muslim terrorism, since many of those terrorist groups were created and managed by the CIA anyways. Racism against all Asian Americans, even Viets, will shoot through the roof.

In the end, the US economy will be failing and the Trump administration will have to balance the desire for escalated hostility with the reality that the US economy will still need China's market and capital to recover. So it will be a mixed bag.

Your views are always outlandish and ridiculous.

Japan can’t increase the birth rate. Impossible. The only way out is increasing immigration.

Japan has already accepted a slow and dignified decline instead of disturbing their homogeneous society, which I can respect.
