Japan, Taiwan corporate chieftains to meet in China

Sharp and Foxconn's company flags fly side by side.

OSAKA -- The heads of Japan's Sharp and its Taiwanese suitor, Hon Hai Precision Industry, or Foxconn, are to meet on Friday to discuss the acquisition agreement, following the emergence of additional risk information regarding Sharp's finances.

Sharp President Kozo Takahashi will meet Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou in China, according to people familiar with the matter. Gou is already in China. Sharp insists Foxconn needs more time to digest the latest information. It hopes to finalize a deal as soon as possible.

And with that i hope that Sharp can bring in Chinese creative planners to revitalize Sharp, and any critical technology company in Japan. I suppose it is now high time that Japan opens her doors to Chinese FDI, and integration into the Chinese processing scale.
