It has crossed Pakistan GDP wise

It aims to attain 10% plus gdp growth with 5 year

By 2030 Bangladesh aims to become a trillion dollar economy

By 2033 it is predicted to become 24th largest economy of the world

All these require money and big investment

Not for fancy or show case projects like Pakistan did but revenue generating projects.

Yes Japan’s growth has slowed done but this is not only giving loan but also creating job in Japan

It is legalized since ancient time, it is the villages only which are engaged in prostitution generation after generation as profession are primarily permitted to continue to practice with proper registration. Sex at hotel, escort service etc. is illegal in the country. Prostitution is also illegal in constitution. Without having enough knowledge don’t make foolish comment.

Didn't see your post, I posted a UNDP link for the actual spreadsheet. So I don't know which figure is right.

MPI is far better measure than pure income poverty. I will say that much.

If you earn 5 (PPP) dollars a day but can provide better quality of life (as far as health, education, food, shelter, basic sustenance etc go) thats a lot better than someone earning 10 dollars a day, but cannot provide the same.

The argument lies really in measurement and credibility....and is the region really all that separated out etc relative to the world on average. I do not think so....there is huge intersection still....and well-off internet connected people (in such forums like this one) rather focus on the noise outside of it. People living in the mediocre (or worse) intersection do not have time to tell you otherwise....they are too busy trying to survive.

It is thus best to leave these arguments/comparisons for decades later in the future when there is actual broad, sustained and systematic differences to actually learn from and analyse.
