true, and I'm not comparing you to Iraq or us to US.I have enough doubt about that.Because comparing Iraq with India or Japan would be a folly.
Iraq was a small nation and US is superpower with 600billion$ budget. They can cover entire Iraq airspace within few hours. But in India case we have a large geography with difficult terrain and PRC dont have that much tech like that of US .We have our own SAM system .Unless a genuine fifth gen jet like F22 entering in to India would be a mistake.
And for that PRC need a decade .Then we may complete our advanced AAGrid and FGFA.
But the thing is, we are making our own aircrafts now, this means we can cover a wide range of aircrafts, not just fifth gen fighters.
I'm not sure how much you know about air power, but it's not just fighter tech, it's so many other planes, and infrastructure, that's why the Americans can be so dominating. Without all the supporting systems, you are severely limited against someone who does.
Iraq anti air was actually pretty good, with good systems, but America decimated it, reason is you can't just have one nike air shoe and expect to play basketball, you need all the gear, coaches, training, and film watching and much more to be effective.
I don't doubt your capabilities for the things you do have, it's the things you don't have that is the problem.
