Japan desirous of enhancing trade ties with Pakistan:Envoy

SIALKOT: (APP) Takashi Harada, Head of Economic & Trade Section Embassy of Japan in Islamabad has stressed upon the need of making collective efforts for development of the SMEs.

Addressing a meeting with exporters of Sialkot at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Monday, he said Japan was intending to develop its strong cultural, trade and diplomatic relations with Pakistan.

On this occasion, President SCCI Majid Raza Bhutta said there was a dire need of expansion of bilateral trade between Japan and Pakistan by opening new avenues of economic and trade cooperation.

We don't have any problems, Japan is free to do business with whoever. On the lighter note, It's good that japan is not remaining partial and being open minded with Pakistan. hope this relationship means well for both countries.

So is most of the world, should Pakistan cut ties with the rest of the world?

Don't be melodramatic. The only way Pakistan will get Japan on its side, or at least remain neutral between India and Pakistan, is if Pakistan has good relations with Japan; Trade, investments, development, cultural exchange, defense...etc, this is how Pakistan will win over nations like Japan, and NOT through emotionally charged moves like cutting ties. Even at the worst of times, Pakistan and India have continued to maintain ties with each other, and for a good reason.

Corrupt they may be, but Pakistan's leadership, both military and civilian, isn't stupid. They have far more information at their disposal than average people such as us.

and remember Japan doesn't see Pak as a china's friend. and they remain neutral between indo-Pak relation.
