China's conflict is not with Japan or Germany. China's enemies are India, UK, US, and Australia.

China's mission is to draw Japan and Germany away from being potential enemies to being friends.

Otherwise the closed economy of China is down the road. Italy is going to have a China hating "Prime Minister" in 2023. Germany against China. Japan against China. France against China. Staying friends with Germany and Japan is key to good East Asian and European relations.
