Is it possible that Bajwa literally dies have an ego the size of the galaxy and all this is because Imran Khan ‘stood up to him’?

Yes, entirely. History is full of men who went to extreme lengths over something trivial.

But I still suspect that Bajwa and some of the senior Army leadership supporting him are terrified of Imran Khan returning to power with a larger majority because of something unconstitutional they have engaged in.
