Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan and Chinese ruling Communist Party have signed a memorandum of understanding which says that both parties will collaborate in the fields of justice, development, security and solidarity. Following a weeklong visit to China, the seven members JI delegation signed the memorandum in Beijing, says a message received from JI office.

What is a "political" party doing signing MOU on "security" with a foreign power? What are they palying at now?

JI secretary general Syed Munawar Hasan and Secretary Foreign Affairs of Communist Party of China, Lio Hong Sai, signed the memorandum. Both parties have agreed upon four principles including independence, equality, and mutual respect and not to interfere in the internal matters of each country.

Jamaat-e-Islami taking out numerous rallies on Aafia Siddiqui issue but keeping completely quiet at plight of Chinese Muslims makes perfect sense now.

If you look at pakistan about 70% of the population to my knowlege follow the sunni-sufi-brehelvi way of islam,Its probably the same ratio for the chinese muslims.
The above groups have leaders know as "pirs" and its these groups that you want to calling to china.

Well the superlink dosn't work here in beijing but i find something in the wikipedia. it looks like that the JI is a religious party that opposes the idea of secularism and want to make pakistan a religious country under the rule of islamic law.

That's all they got. Long story but this is the short of it.

That’s a very good question. In my youth once I stood for a moment in their “great really” while coming out of ice cream shop at Bedan Road.

Great leader of Jamat Fareed Paracha was addressing that really, at one point he shouted on mega phone “oh CID walo tum note ker loo”, he then looked right side and said “oh American agents tum be dekho” then he looked other side and said “oh masco kay agent tum be note kroo”

My dear it was late 80s including me and my friend there was hardly fifty people and among those fifty he also spotted the American and Russian agents. Now it’s a simple math in a city of about six millions you can calculate yourself.

The Jamat-e-Islami is political party in Pakistan. This Party was primarily used by the Americans To bring down the Gov of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto , They got paid handsome amount in dollars. This Party was later on also involved in the scenario of Jehad-e-Afghanistan.
If the Chinese are using them now i think its not something new. However this party holds one of the most corrupt religious leaders in Pakistan.

No they have limited them selves to the political activities in Pakistan.
However many of our Security Agencies have strong links with this Party. In the Mushraff reighn this party was considered as pro Musharaff.

Achievements of JI

• Militarizing the student and trade unions (JI supported unions first time used sophisticated weapons in union fights)

• Its involvement in Nizam-i-Mustafa movement in which so many youngsters laid their lives in the name of Islam. When Gen Zia-i-Haq took over especially JI became its partner took ministries and Nizam-i-Mustafa ……………….

• Its alleged role in Bhutto’s murder. Uncle-nephew spiritual relationship between Zia-i-Haq and JI amer Mian Tufail Mohammad also emerged at that time

• People also alleged that Mian Sahib used influence to convince the FSF personnel to be witnessed against Bhutto(It is also alleged that Main sahib was sexually assaulted by FSF in mianwali jail in Bhotto’s tenure). Those were from ichra and they were promised to be released but when they were hanged what kind of language used against Mian Sahib at their funeral, people of that vicinity still remember

• Gangster activities if Islami Jamiat Taliba (IJI) in educational institute. Political opponents were tortured, killed, declared kafirs and Ahmdi. In 1983 IJI invited Zia-i-Haq in Punjab University where he, while addressing the “mujahids”, urged people to fight jihad against “evil forces”. Right after his address JI all wings in educational institutes and trade unions started a campaign against these “evils”

• Then JI also gave birth to Shabab e Milli in 1994 and people of Township, Greentown and Johar town know this organization as land mafia


It has also given birth to some renowned personalities

• MAULANA SUFFI MUHAMMAD (Taliban fame )
• Dr Israr Ahmad (Kafir Kafir Shia kafir fame)
• MQMleader ship when it was founded
• 90% of gangster of Lahore were hatched by JI (from Khawaja Saad Rafique to Arshad Ameen Ch)
• Allama Haq Nawaz Jhangvi was initially trained by JI (SSA fame)

Some other achievements include

• Twisting of history (forget about it role in Pakistan movement and language used for our great Quaid) just compare the books written by Syed Abul A'ala Maududi published by JI now and about 50years back. These claim themselves a flagship of Islam and how Islam “changes/changed” over years, one can judge by itself. How first edition of Syed Abul A'ala Maududi’s books were swept from libraries is also another stories. Thanks god personal libraries saved such books.
