It has its serial number, So does this mean FC-20/J10B is operational with PLAAF?

well serial number doesn't means its operational, but the PLAAF marking & serial number suggest that now the aircraft is in operational test & evaluation by the PLAAF from the prototype stage. It might also mean, that there would be other prototype aircraft with the manufacturing company for further testing.

Yups, it will become more lethal, its just the first prototype, remember JF-17, what it started from and what it became, same case with J-10A to J-10B and more, there is the 06 testing prototype of JF-17, which means we would be seeing more changes to this bird also in future.

Plus the CGI of the J-10B is different then the current one, the CGI shown my chineese officials has wing tip mounted missile racks, plus one more then current, 4 racks under each wing. So, hopefully we will see more advanced version then this one in future.

Wangrong, any news about the engine in the J-10B prototype ???? is it Russian or the Chinese one ???? and what about the strips below the cockpit, below the PLAAF marking and on the tail above the 1031 serial number??? wht are they for, AESA thing or some other ECM thing.

well its more sort of a nose down as far as a design of j-10b is concerened when comparing to J10a. more like SUs and if u look at the fattness of nose more resembles like f-18. a good mixture. i liked it. wht abt engine???

well the fatness of the nose would be due to the IRST installation and a new kind of radar or may be an AESA radar.

Pakistan have already ordered for 36 jets. By any means Pakistan shld save some money for next 4 to 5 years and try to acquire 64 more J-10B.

Pakistan desperately need 300 + latest jets between 2015 to 2020.
Jf-17 wouldnt be enough
