You'd be surprised how many Indians are happy with the partition especially young Indians.

Partition was inevitable, however, the extreme bloodshed could have been avoided.
And I am not talking about the young Indians, Indian National Congress had strongly opposed the partition (at least officially).

I am not sure what the mood was in India back then, but today most Indians don't see the partition as a bad thing. I was just responding to what you said that June 3 will always be a bad day for Indians due to the partition.
