An armored vehicle on landrover/toyota chassis, utlilizing engine from the same firms....what else ?

Joke of the century. So if India have please put some Industry here:rofl:. LAMO

100 million ? :omghaha:

Indian contracts run into billions of dollars...

Come back when you can develop a microlight aircraft on your own...

Yes and the year was 2005 and even on that time we don't aero industry. Not go back to your cave you troll.

Need to bring in PVT players and increase spending on R&D, please do not blame drdo it is not entirely their fault!

Think about the cost of the LCA program, the sanctions we faced and compare to similar projects in the west. Remember this was our first attempt at such a sophisticated program.

We do composites, even Israel is buying from us ;)

Since 1997, Boeing has worked with India’s premier software development companies - including HCL, Infosys, Wipro and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) - on several projects related to systems re-engineering and development, web enabling, e-business applications and long-term maintenance. In 2005, Boeing added a variety of knowledge-based engineering and data analysis projects, as well as aircraft design activity, to its existing IT work in India.

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) became the single-source producer of 757 overwing exit doors in 1991. HAL has manufactured the 777 uplock boxes, 777 flaperons, F/A-18 gun bay doors, F/A-18 wire harnesses, P-8I weapons bay doors, P-8I tailcones and P-8I identification friend-or-foe transponders.

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has delivered the Indian-designed Data Link II for the P-8I, a communications system that enables exchange of tactical data and messages between the Indian Navy aircraft, ships and shore establishments. BEL has also delivered the identification friend-or-foe interrogator, a battle management system that enables the aircraft to distinguish friendly aircraft and forces. Finally, BEL is on contract to provide F/A-18 flight deck cockpit panels. Electronics Corporation of India (ECIL) provides the Speech Secrecy Systems for the P-8I.

In addition to defense public sector undertakings, India’s well-reputed private companies play a large role in Boeing industrial strategy. Dynamatic Technologies and Tata Advanced Materials Limited (TAML) have already delivered P-8I power and mission equipment cabinets, and TAML is also on contract to provide P-8I auxiliary power unit door fairings. Dynamatic Technologies is on contract to manufacture the aft pylon and cargo ramp assemblies for Boeing’s CH-47F Chinook. Avantel delivers the mobile satellite systems for the P 8I and Maini and TAL Manufacturing Solutions are on contract to provide C-17 ground support equipment.
Boeing’s present state-of-the-art co-production partnership is with TAL, who manufacture complex floor beams out of composite material, for the Boeing 787-9, a modern aircraft with exceptional environmental and fuel efficient capabilities. Several other similar co-development and co-production aerospace partnerships are on the anvil.

Hyderabad-based Cyient (formerly-Infotech) has supported a number of critical Boeing Commercial Airplanes design-engineering projects, and currently provides design and stress support on the 747-8 Freighter and the 787-8 and 787-9.
Beyond direct work placement, Boeing collaborates with Indian industrial suppliers on lean manufacturing techniques, on program management and supplier management best-practices, and specialized trainings as part of its drive to bring the best of Boeing to India.

Boeing: Boeing India - About Boeing in India

Specialising in high-tech aeronautical engineering, Airbus currently has 350-plus Indian engineers who work hand-in-hand with Airbus engineering offices around the world, as well as with the Indian aerospace industry. The Bangalore-based centre focuses on the development of advanced capabilities in the areas of modelling and simulation, embedded systems softwares, systems installation, digital mock-up, structural analysis, materials and properties, loads and weight estimations, system testing, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), as well as process, methods and tools – which are critical factors in the design and production of high-performance aircraft such as the A380, A350 XWB and A320neo.

Airbus also works directly with Indian companies in designing and manufacturing aerostructures, and strongly encourages its major Tier 1 suppliers to partner with Indian organisations to expand their reach and capacity. Dynamatic Technologies from Bangalore has partnered with Spirit Aero Systems to manufacture complex machined components and assemblies (Flap-Track Beams) for the A320 Family, which is the world’s most popular single-aisle aircraft programme. In February 2015, Dynamatic Technologies signed an agreement to be the single source supplier of flap-track beams for the widebody A330 Family aircraft.

Through its Tier 1 suppliers, Airbus also is engaging with Indian companies such as Tata, Mahindra and AEQUS – which manufacture sub-assemblies and detail parts across Airbus programmes. Two dedicated design centres – one for Fuselage (with AxisCades) and the other for Wing and Pylon (with QuEST) – are in operation to handle concession activities. Furthermore, Airbus has several ongoing engineering projects with Indian companies viz., Infosys, HCL, Geometric, Tech Mahindra and others that provide engineering services for various aircraft programmes, including the A380 and A350 XWB.

LCA is already in sevice, with IAF's Tactics and Air Combat Development Establishment. But we are still waiting for Pakistani moped engine...:omghaha: :omghaha:

Do you really have industrialization ? . my only question is why you people compare urself with India ?. You have 245 billion $ economy and we have more than 2 trillion and u think we are just lame duck. Pakistan was very gud in fabric but India won later and now Bangladesh because its a open economy. Wipro lost a project with TCS in Belgium in only 50 lakh rupees. I mean world is so competitive and Indian companies are fighting in Europe like a local company do u people really have such kind of example ???

India will make a Plane no doubt and airoengine too. It is a R &D and in this no mission failure like in army and whenever we do r&D there is always something to get knowledge and we have received that. Think about urself

Other joke of the PDF. Can please proof your statement GDP is main criteria of Industries and if answer is yes then where you put India (whose industries is not mature then less GDP countries like Russia, Canada, Korea, Netherlands, Sweden etc) LAMO

1 . makes sense
2. You need a "Black" White swan? Cheap and fifth gen?
3. Stop Gap? Isn't that what Tejas was supposed to be?

killing Tejas at this point would be foolish, you have invested a lot in this project and have gained a lot of experience and knowledge. The best option would be to redesign new Tejas from scratch.

I have just been reading update on Tejas which suggest that MK2 Tejas is not likely to fly until 2022/2023.

I have also read an article DRDO re refusing to upscale production of MK1 beyond 4-6 PLANES per year until IAF commit to a bigger order than 40 planes

Inaddition I have IAF will not commit to more MK1 planes.

Guys THIS PROJECT IS A JOKE and we NEED to kill this today.

CLOSE DOWN DRDO because we are wasting valuable resources. rupees.

1. WE NEED TO RETHINK INDIAN AMBITIONS OF BUILDING OUR OWN FIGHTERS

2. WE NEED A NEW PLAN TO REMODERNISE THE IAF with cheap lightweight fifth gen fighters.

3. WE NEED A STOP GAP FGHTER UNTIL POINT 2 ABOVE BECOME REALITY

PS its not all doom and gloom

We have a massive GDP OVER $2.2 TRILLION AND VERY LARGE FINANCIAL MUSCLE

We have options to use tech partnership from USA Sweden israel or Europe NOT just Russia

WE JUST NEED TO START AGAIN and be realistic...

tejas has failed full stop move on
