Two of the very interesting innovative and indigenous technologies integrated into this platform are the Automotive Unified Electronic Controller (AUEC) and Unified Electronic Controller (UEC)
AUEC is a device with GPS technology which can truthfully convey various data, including the load carried by the vehicle and its exact location, to a technician sitting elsewhere. Rear dump trucks often have to trudge many kilometres over mines or ores, several times in a day. Monitoring the functioning of these vehicles which can carry loads as heavy as 100 tonnes becomes a lot more easy with the AUEC. If a vehicle has more than its permissible load, the controller ensures that it doesn’t move until the problem is rectified. If it is way below its load, an operator can diagnose the under utilisation and tell the driver how to efficiently use the truck. Moreover, if there are glitches, technicians can easily do a diagnosis, while sitting snug in a far-off control room. The device also stores data regarding vehicle use patterns. So, if the driver is going wrong somewhere, the technician just needs to go through the data to identify what needs to be corrected and train the driver.
A simpler version of the controller was supplied to BEML 10 years ago. BEML has returned to the R&D facility satisfied with its experience of using the Unified Electronic Controller (UEC), the predecessor of the AUEC.
Before the UEC, the BEML had to rely on different controllers each with its distinctive function - automated gear transmission, payload monitoring, equipment health monitoring and hoist control. The UEC unified all the functions and included safety locks. For example, the hoist control will ensure that the hoist does not work while the vehicle is in motion, even if the driver accidentally sendsthe hoist command. The AUEC has been sounded off in various trials at the BEML. Currently its real time performance is being monitored. The response from the BEML has been positive.

I am pretty sure the engine in this thing is imported somewhere from Europe or US and so are most of the parts. Can someone give more details???
