What's new

It's "El Classico" Time in Spain.....

Madrid has lots of fat egos running on the pitch, rather than players... that costed them.... Ronaldo would hav been a legend if he had stayed at Man Utd. As for Barcelona... they were as compact n hungry as ever... true spirit n true players... Go Guardiola

Pellegrini is a very good coach that's why Perez give him chance to work in Madrid,the problem with R.Madrid is defence and left midfield or left winger,if Real want to do good in next season they have to strengthen these two areas.my suggestions are Chelleni (juventus) as DL and any one from Juan Manuel Mata (Valencia) he was former castilla boy.David Silva (Valencia),or juan Vargas ( Fiorentina).

.
Barca team has lots of home grown players,like Messi,Valdes,Puyol,Xavi,Ineasta,Pedro,Bojan and...........,what about Real Iker,Guti,Alvaro,Raul .so the spirit may be less
But i think the reason for this is Barca is for Catalans and Real is for world....

The problem for Real Madrid; fans and owners alike; is that they want to be like Barcelona.

Real Madrid wants to play beautiful football and win at the international stage. But they don't want to put in the hard work that Barca have. Madrid is always looking to PROCURE quality individuals. Barca on the other hand have PRODUCED strong teams combining individual flair with hard work. Barca players work harder on the pitch than any other team in the world. They are always trying to win the second balls, retain possession, and completely dominate their opponents in the midfield area. What Madrid doesn't realise is that you cannot BUY these qualities.

Real want to win the champs league. That's why Capello was fired despite winning La Liga. The only person who can help Real win at the international stage RIGHT NOW is Jose Mourinho. But his style of play will not be appreciated by the Madrid faithful.

Expect to see Rafael Benitez at Real Madrid next season.

So far there are rumours about Benitez, Scolari and Mourinho replacing Pellegrini but i agree, Benitez seems the most likely option. He will most probably get fired after pools dismal performance this season.

The fact of the matter is that Pellegrini has not done anything better than Carlos Quiroz, Luxemburgo or Juande Ramos who had much weaker squads and has done far worst than Capello and Shuster and Del Bosque, who actually won us tropies(again with weaker squads), still all of them were fired . Infact during Quiroz's time we were going strong in all competitions till March untill fatigue set in because of limited squad and we ended up winning nothing. Incidently that was the last time we went past the round of 16 in CL. I know all these coaches had done their fare share of mistakes and were not perfect, still they had done better at Madrid than Pellegrini. So why are so many people supporting Pellegrini when none of these previous coaches got the support they deserved??

Everyone who is supporting Pellegrini is not supporting the man but rather continuity and consistancy. That fact that all of us are tired of the coaching musical chairs has forced us to look beyond the mistakes and limitations in his abilities and are willing to give him time. Just to avoid another change in style and the feeling of starting from scratch that we are not even considering if Pellegrini is the right man for the job. Yes he took Villareal to the CL semi's but won nothing at all as compared to Juande Ramos who won tropies with Seville. Juande also made Seville play some of the most attactive football in the world and when he came here he didn't do much worse than Pellegrini even with lesser time and much much less capable squad. I reiterate that managing a club like Villareal is easier as expectations are not very high and so a mere semi final appearance in CL made Pellegrini a hero there.

I don't know if Mourinho is the best man for this job and i don't know if he'll be criticized for his boring style of football and how he will deal with the media, all i know is that he has experience of managing Chelsea and Inter with whome he won trophies in his first year in charge. Remember when he took over Chelsea they had just brought in a host of new names and expectations were extremely high still they didn't take any time to jell and won the league in his first season.

I am all for giving a lot of time to the coach but our frustration with the system should not make us believe in someone who is not the right person in the first place.

Yeah i agree, pellagrini hasnt done a great job at real this season but i support him because real needs patience. You build a team, you dont buy it and pellagrini definatly has what it takes to make a team which was proven after what he did at villareal. Look at the barca players, xavi, iniesta, pique they are all from the barca academy. They developed a team and thats what real needs to do :agree:

He has done a decent enough job considering he was:
1) a Last Minute Appointment;
2)Given a bunch of New Acquisitions in which he had NO say;
3) Had a Tremendous amount of pressure

I think he deserves at least another season at the helm. Continuity is important.

He might not have delivered as per Capello, Del Bosque, Quiroz etc. and might be inferior to them.
BUT
They didn't deserve to be fired either. And two wrongs do not make a right.

The points you have mentioned in favor of Pellegrini are perennial problems faced by every coach that was and is to be at Real Madrid. We just have to wait and see if he allows the players to loose motivation like last year or not. If he wins the remaining 7 matches than he might be given another shot next year.
