What's new

It's about time Pakistan needs a revolution and not a political leader

Revolution is seldom bloodless. Will Lahoris allow a Pashtun/Urdu speaking to set up guillotine in Lahore ? Because that's the power center... If French revolution is kept as example, at least a million will have to be executed. And in the end the person leading the revolution will also be killed ala
Robespierre.
You could start by asking for land reforms.. Just land redistribution will enable millions of your countrymen overcome poverty. Landlords will be big lower, but isn't that the preferred outcome ?
great advice from Mr.Poopjeet with -76 rating with just 2,500+ posts
f-ing kill me dude haha

don't know the country or how it works, don't care for your opinion, don't need your opinion or advice - the last thing posters or the OP was looking for was an infestation of monkeys on this thread
f off and worry about your own filth

IK cannot break the shackles of slavery because majority of the people are compromised one way or another. I can bet most people standing with IK have some wrong doings due to which they can be blackmailed with and our institutions know that and infact maybe want such people because they can be controlled. IK on the other hand till now looks the only clean person hence he did not bow down.

I agree with you.

I find it sad to see that almost every single person around Imran Khan is a multi-millionaire or more who got rich from the current system From SMQ to Zulfi Bukhari to JTK (initially), etc, etc. Not a single one of them strikes me as a Naya Pakistan visionary. They are all opportunists who have clung to Imran Khan for whatever ulterior motive.

Maybe Asad Umer, Shireen Mazari and Fawad Chaudhry are honest PTI ideologues, I don't know.

Asad umer too looks clean given his background and Miss Mazari might be too. Fawad Chaudhry as much as a loud mouth he is, one should take exit from lillah interchange and travels towards khewra salt mines. I visited twice and the road did not had pot holes but pot holes has a bit of road. We covered that 25-28 KM patch in 2 hours despite that ended up screwing a wheel barring. I am not sure about the others but when I say this system does not suits IK's vision is because we have around 300 seats in the NA. We never saw a single person in the entire history of Pakistan doing any good. I can afford petrol at 200 or even 500 so can these guys but still they want the perks to the maximum and yet there slogan is, we're here to take Pakistan forward.

The revolution will be led by either a Pashtun or urdu speaking people or both.

Sindhis are mellow , corrupt , lazy and are set in their stone age ways with no will to fight or improve anything and notwithstanding their hate for Pakistan. Don't believe me , just visit interior sindh which is a shithole ; worse than afghanistan/somalia . If they can't even improve their own land for their own people(which they claim are here for centuries) , what makes you think they can do anything for Pakistan

Less said about baloch , the better it is

Punjabis are de facto rulers of Pakistan. Most of the Army and civil service are from them. As long as Punjab remain rich and Punjabis keep ruling Pakistan , they don't care

Urdu speakers are the original founders of this country and have this innate derive to better this country because after all , " project Pakistan " have been their achievement. Unfortunately , their hands have been tied and wings have been clipped by the inferiority ridden natives of this land. Despite everything , they are rallying for Imran Khan for betterment of this country. They are his most vocal supporters.

Pashtuns have proved themselves to be truly a resilient bunch of people who are eager to turn their lives for the better. Despite some small pockets of hard ethno-nationalists , they have given PTI ( a national party) their whole province and are a major support base for Khan.

Well Both these groups would have to turn towards a right wing Islamist party for that.

GHQ would off course subvert any such movement & bomb them if possible, but there can not be a clean shaved revolution.

All your educated class would migrate, rebel (not with guns other ways) on a mass scale

Pak people whatever they say do not like islamist right wing parties, that's our political history, we never got behind a relgious figure

Then we ll keep getting shafted by East India Company loyalists.

Whether we like islamists or not, they are the only serious contenders to fight the brown sahibs.

Revolutions often get bloody. Imran Khan is a responsible leader and he knows the wrong words from him may get people killed. That is why he called off the dharna this week.

You can't fault him for caring for people's lives.

I know.

But you can't have significant political change without risking upheaval. History is a powerful education.

IK wants the benefits of a revolution without any of the cons. Unfortunately, it's a package deal. Risk/reward are intimately linked.

Also, there are MANY revolutionary things he can do (mostly in terms of rhetoric, openly explaining a vision of an entirely new constitutional order and social contract, etc etc etc). So, he is way less of a revolutionary even if we remove the risk of violence issue.

As much as IK is better than the all famous corrupt lot that is leading Punjab, Sindh or Pakistan as a whole for years I think it is about time someone from the root takes the stance and punish a few people down.

The whole system needs a revamp and I can almost bet with everything that's wrong with Pakistan will not let that happen whether 2/3rd majority or not. The whole political system in place simply does not allow a normal person from becoming an MPA or MNA without funding parties or paying hefty amounts to get a ticket. So how can we expect anything better coming out? Petrol was increased 30 rupees, Shehbaaz Shareef did that with a heavy heart but did he discussed/instructed any deductions in the perks the assembly members get, or the judiciary? Even IK did not and won't because then all the ex corrupt or not so honest people around him will vanish away.
Most recent revolutions have been "ATAKEN OVER" midstream by political/martial maneouvering. You really need to think this through. None of the ingredients exist for a revolution.

I don't think you understand the situation Pakistan is in. It appears to be de fact a divided nation literally. Imran Khan is in exile in Peshawar in KPK which effectively was sealed off by the Evil Eyes Sanaullah few days ago. Hamza has couped and taken over Punjab with Punjab Police acting as PMLN's militia force.

Sindh is effectively ran by Amir Zardari and you might as well call it a Emirate of Sindh with small tract in Karachi openly taken over by MQM. Balochistan less said the better.

Meantime the boys are bragging about nuclear missiles or J-fckin Tundar or whatever as if India is a threat. The threat to Pakistan is from inside. Look how Soviet Union fell apart.

If IK had gone in for the charge in the Azaadi march the situation in fact would have quickly turned in a Pashtun Lashkars fighting Punjabis in uniform. If IK wanted he could easily go the way Mujib went and openly declare, breaking away from the federation. Overnight FC would be converted into army. It was this potential danger that he backed off.

You want revolution you need a nation and unity FIRST! You can't make revolutions out of splinters and pieces. You need a WHOLE!

Got some pics today. I think IK's move was very prudent. From the pics I received today the contingent of army and primarily rangers was massive. It was deployed and it was ready and more or less had begun to encircle the crowd. It was going to crush the group and all those within it, and would have resulted in potential casualties. That was the plan of Sanahullah and regime. Charge the crowd through day long beatings and shelling, and then get the crowd and the military to go at each other. It would have been a disaster. Smart move to back off.
Next steps are murky. THINGS ARE NOT GOOD!!!!

I wanted to put up some pics but need to first "clean" the images. Being lazy.

The regime is going to drown IK, PTI and his supporters into cases. I have said this and will keep saying this: Dont come to gun fight with a knife.

Throughout my life I have at some point or the other dealt with thugs and criminals. As a Pakistani it is impossible to maintain your dignity when our everyday dealings can sometimes bring us across such type of people. When my extended family's lands were overtaken by one of the most dangerous Kabzah group in Punjab, our only reaction was to fight. For over a week our people (tribals), fought pitched battles with this massive well armed group. Only then did they sue for peace, and yes the best we managed to get out of this was them leaving the lands. But not until they saw that we would fight and fight hard. IK needs to wake up and understand that he is not fighting a political party. He is fighting criminals. Criminals don't use conventional methods. They use all the tricks of the trade. The path they'll take its simple. They'll put IK and the party into a cases whirlwind. Then they'll expose the second tier, through fear tactics. They'll then extend that to a few kills to drive fear. And there is nothing in IK's playbook to handle that.
Add to this repertoire will be support from corrupted judiciary, bureaucracy, and even clergy. Media is sold so IK should not expect any fair dealings there either. Establishment will never allow IK freedom. They will always cut his wings because the financial and perks based interest on establishment institutions are too strong. Add to this mix is a super power that will bring out the playbook from Indonesia, Iran, and South America and you begin to see the gunfight I have always talked about. And yes never bring a knife to a gun fight. Will say it again - things are not good!!!
