To be honest, we don't think its fair. But having said that, they do need to face the law of the land. If they haven't committed an intentional crime, they ll be set free. But if Italy is going to threaten us, and demand things, its only going to make things worse.

Little less hyperbole, little more back door diplomacy is the need of the hour. Italy can't and shouldn't boss us around.

Its not intention to boss anyone around. You know our mentality? How easy italians get overly emotional? Thats the problem. Maybe indians can understand this. Southern europeans are similar in that issue with indians. Its something imposisble to be calmed down.

It is the part of solving the problem but if you are asking for some special leverage on this problem well then you are already having some like your marines are staying in the Italian embassy and not in some Indian jail and they have been allowed to go and vote in Italy during the recent election. I will suggest you to wait for the SC decision and then the diplomatic ties between the two country can take it's action to make the matter more easy for both the sides. There can be an early bail or a lesser term in jail if everything goes right and if the SC allowed
