This is absolutely fantastic!

. . .
BA really needs some helicopter gunships supporting infantry.... our heli fleet is large accross services but they are mainly for logistics and SAR. It is time to add some teeth.

I hope BAF is not cooking up some lame first generation EFT deal with the italians. I do not personally see this as a positive news if we are talking about Fighters....why would we need italians when our BD can ask GB directly.

If I recall, Italy offered Bulgaria their Tranche 1 awhile ago before the Bulgarians decided on getting Vipers.

Not sure what this Italian offer means for BAF.

However, generally speaking I completely welcome BAF training from a NATO member nation.

.
Interestingly italy leased 3 sqd of f16s awaiting for delivery of new batches of EFT. The deal ended in 2014 i think and these would have been put in storage i guess...

I wonder if BAF hoping to pick these up on the cheap..... who knows....

If you mean the leased F-16 they were returned to the US from what I recall.

Jets are being negotiated with British, even if they’re tranche 1 Spain upgraded their tranche 1 with tranche 2/3 components. So it’s not bad at all.

I am not sure if the title of this news matches the content above. Hasina requested the training matter, but it should have been discussed with the BAF Chief.
