New Delhi: Middleman Christian Michel, who is wanted in India for his role in the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper bribery scandal, has said that the Italian government may make public a private conversation between Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Matteo Renzi.

The conversation could be released if India fails to release an Italian marine being held in the country on charges of killing Indian fishermen, Michel suggested in an interview to NDTV news channel.

It has been claimed that PM Modi held a private conversation with his Italian counterpart Renzi on the sidelines of a UN meeting wherein he allegedly sought information against Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.

Michel told NDTV that if Delhi fails to free Marine Salvatore Girone, the Italian government "may do something unpleasant" and that "unpleasant" move would be to "admit to a meeting" between Modi and Renzi.

Both India and Italy have so far rejected claims of a private meeting between their prime ministers.

As per the claims, Modi had offered to free the two Italian marines (Massimiliano Latorre has already been allowed to go home due to health issues) facing murder charge in India in return for information on Sonia Gandhi with regard to the Agusta chopper deal.

Sonia's name has been mentioned in an Italian court judgement, along with her political secretary Ahmed Patel and former PM Manmohan Singh, convicting top officials of AgustaWestland and its parent firm Finmeccanica.

Michel said during the interview that the meeting happened but it was not a formal, bilateral one.

"Under the auspices of the UN bilateral discussions there was no meeting. I am talking about a casual brush-by meeting which has plausible deniability attached to it," he was quoted as saying by the news channel.

A private meeting between PM's can be taped? :what: And guess what? It can be used to blackmail with. It seems Italian Mafia's still rules political class over there.
Have to be taken with a pinch of salt.
If any of those have any amount of truth then it is a shame for the Italians not Indian PM. I guess Italians are thinking the current PM with the level of previous PM. They are in for shock....

This is not even a matter, if they make news or headlines by making a leak of the private discussion, simply hang the italian marine by proving guilty and make even bigger news which will compensate the matter or news

Doesn't that close the claim ???

And in exchange to marine ??? Well it is going to get middle finger

Have any one of you personally dealt with Italians when cutting a transaction? Comments would be welcome.

Looks like India is heading toward civil war. Time to support secular Gandhi clan against Hindutva.

So says a man who is accused of playing a crucial role in paying bribes to people at various level, from politicians, bureaucrats, defence personnels to media men. TDK & her cronies are using this man to spread their BS to divert heat from their back. & he is using the same media house & the same journalist who were in his payroll, to spread his BS.

Leaking the conversation
Set back for whom ?

One who asked for the info or the one who is accused ?

Our media already said that Modi asked for illegal informations about his rivals in india...infos that italy has.

I´m quite sure that our 2nd marine will be home within a few weeks as our minister Pinotti said in TV. The deal between Italy and India is already done and kept under the rug for a few days.

The Hague court decided that Italy and India should deal this case according to law and that our marine should be send home immeadiately.

I dont think it will be necessary to publish bad informations about Modi since both nations italy and india signed the hague agreement and will act accordingly to the courts decission. :)

Evryone knows that we know alot of dirty secrets from india ut it would be foolish to make them public now if we can find an agreement with friendly behavior.

And yes, the meeting between our PM and Modi was taped ;P

One the Important thing is not regarding conversion release which is seems like presure technics, the worst news is releasing of the marines(cold blood killers)

So Italian court named Sonia and others just so India may release those killers?

I am guessing Italy will get the killers back and as well as leak the conversation, it will cause public outrage among libtards and CONgis that how Modi freed the killers for political rivalry. Italy 2 - India 0.

Or India don't release the killers, Italy will still leak the info, so India 1 - Italy 1.

Three things should be seriously considered before gauging the authenticity of this news piece

1. How trustworthy is Mr Michel ?

2. How patriotic is Ms Burkha Dutt and her track record of professionalism ?

3. Who has vested interest in arranging this Interview ?

:p:
