This is what I predict. The smart have already seen the green shoots.

China and India will increasingly converge more than they will diverge. Radical Islam and American trade hehemony will.be key areas.

Pakistan's honeymoon with China is over. No way will they have as long a relationship as they did with the Americans. I put a lot of this to racial perceptions with respect to how the brown man sees the white versus the yellow.

Pakistan will increasingly get drawn into the Russian sphere. Russia has always wanted and coveted warm water access. Now they will arm and buy their way to the same.

The Americans will not be unseated just yet. A long way to go. But they recognise that there are multiple poles developing in the east.

Both Russians and the Chinese dislike Islam because it goes against their totalitarian systems. So I don't see Russia replacing China vis a vis Pakistan. Some companies may have a greater cooperation. But that will be all.

They tried to introduce similar rubbish laws in UK.. Muslims said they wont eat meat anymore.
Looking at the financial looses to be suffered by Meat industry and farmers if a few million of the population stops eating meat, they scrapped the law.
Italian Muslims should do the same... They can keep "Respecting" their goats , sheep and cows. They wont make much money out of their livestock when Muslims stop buying meat.

We have not many muslims in Italy. Their market share is very low. Best for all would be if they leave.

Good idea.

Only problem is that kids will be used to not eating meat. Changing that later is difficult.

Leadership didnot. They were corrupt. People were illiterate. Now things have slightly changed. Elites are not as strong, I think.
This is true for both us and Pakistan.

What makes meat halal is debated by scholars; in North America, for example, certain Halal-certifications allow/encourage the stunning of the animal right before slaughter. I like this approach.

Halal is also about treating the animal with the utmost care and keeping it stress-free right up to the point of slaughter. Western mass slaughterhouses could learn a thing or two --- pretending to be more humane than the Halal method.
