It is not China or India but Brazil that leads the BRIC into superpower status as oil reserves triple and smart energy self reliance takes effect

The oil price rise has shifted the table over United States. Bush-Clinton mismanagement of fiscal and energy policies has made it possible that US will no longer be a superpower after 2012. Every superpower’s down fall is marked by a sense less leadership and a devastating war. This one is no different.

The Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRIC) are new set countries that will take over the leadership in UN. The Europeans and the Americans will be seated behind these new superpowers in the next decade.

But within the BRIC nations, Brazil is the real budding super power – not China and India. Russia will be a superpower soon if they can manage their affairs prudently. India has performed the worst among the BRIC chasing American dollars and military power. Indian leadership has proved that they lack common sense. People in India face massive inflation from energy and food prices. China has also failed in the same way although they tried to exploit the Americans instead of selling their country to the superpower.

Brazils’s story is remarkable. Their energy independence is a lesson for India and China. Brazil and India compete in sugar production. While Brazil used its sugar for biofuel, India could do little because of lack of common sense and education among the Indian leaders.

Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said the country will at least triple its oil reserves from exploration of a new offshore area that includes the Western Hemisphere's largest discovery since 1976.

Petroleo Brasileiro SA, the state-controlled oil company, is investing more than $10 billion to build two refineries to handle expanding output of heavy crude oil from its Campos basin fields, the source of about 80 percent of Brazil's output. A 150,000-barrels-a-day refinery in Rio de Janeiro will make products for the petrochemical industry and a 200,000-barrel-a- day refinery near the northeastern city of Recife will produce vehicle and other fuels. Petrobras also plans to build at least two more Brazilian refineries.

Favorable conditions for economic growth prevails where FDI is higher... If a country grows then its ppl life standards also has to grow. I support Russia and India. But China is expected to be a stiff competetor. Comparing China with India, China is miles ahead. Talking about favorable conditions democracy is very important. Brazil also doing good but it has to face the pressure from the Asian Giants.

brazil have oil, whereas india n china dont have much oil...
so where does the question of energy security soon?
and brazil's land area is much larger and can cultivate sugercane and use it for producing fuel, but if we indians too do the same, sugar prices will increase manifold for common man....

That goes to show you can't really predict the future, shytes can happen in between.

well, just because you have oil dont mean much, SA isnt a super power now is it? it is a combination of things like economy and military among others that make a super power
