Absolutely. Most Turks despise Arabs. Have deep historical rivalry with Iranians who outdo even the Turks in their ethnic superiorty complex which irks the Turks.
I have much respect for the Turks because they don't
pretend. They are quite
honest. Turkey is for Turks and they only aspire to a pan-Turkic peoples.
The biggest pretenders, hypocrites are Pakistani's. Most can't even take a breat without 'Muslim' or 'Islam' being uttered. They love dwel in the notion of Pakistan as a Islamic citadel. You know the ' پاکستان اور سعودی عرب کی دوستی دنیا کے گہرے تیرین سمندروں میں بھی ہمشہ قائم
But as this thread demonstrates all this pious religious talk goes flying out of the window when it suits them. These refugees can be rendered in many ways depending on your outlook -
- Muslim
- Humans
- Afghan namak harams
Notice on this thread Islam has taken a backseat to secular descriptors and ethnic slurs. In short the use of Islam or Muslim is just based on prejudices and fancies.
The Turks do what they preach. They only care about Turkic peoples. They also have a slant toward Pakistan;s because in their school books we are mentioned as having helped them. Thus they accord respect to Pakistan. But I can tell you most Turks are vastly differant from Pakistan's and gel more with Europeans. Which is why despite all talk Turkish soldiers stand in line with their western brothers in the NATO ready to take bullets for them.
Going back to the Pakistan flip flop between Muslim and ethnic slurs if a Chechen tommorow kills his teacher in France watch how all of Pakistan will be calling Muslim brotherhood and wanting to join in to help a fellow Muslim brother. Or Palestinians because thewy are Muslims. Most Paks have had little exposure to Pals. They are the biggest b*astards you can find and look down at Paks as scum. You know I have been around for many decades on this earth and have seen this from experiance.
But the Muslim refugees from next door are seen as Afghan namakharams. Where is the Islam gone here? I am not pushing this point because I support the idea of bringing those refugees in but to expose the sickening hypocracy that is evident.
