What's new

It has always been the gameplan of Bangladesh to grab Assam: LT Gen SK Sinha

sir, most of wat you say is correct,i respect your mentality........but da refugees then are indians now.........one of my frnd whose grandparents are from bd,during da partition(i cannot recall whethe pre or post 1971),had a pact with a muslim here dat, once they interchanged countries they will occupy each others houses, coming here they were shocked to see a one storeyed small house which awaited them in bardhaman in exchange for their bunglow.........they lived a painfull life here, but today he supports the decsion which his grandparents took then.........i assume u understand why...........there is a para of flourishing bengalis here(5 min bus from my house) named 'sarat colony' which constitutes of bengali refugees, who later prospered in india........thnx

Ah! Jako you are back.
.....My point is not how much they won or lost materially by migration, but I wanted to say that they sure missed us and our love & respect as much we missed them. Money was earned or not, both our hearts did suffer and eyes shaded tears---despite we belonged to different religion.

Many fails to realize that unique relationship, as because they failed to understand Islam or religion. Islam/religion stipulates not to harm others but does not stop you--rather implore you--to do good to others. As a result, a special bondage comes into being. If any religion encourage you on the contrary, it is not religion.

Somehow, I am not in favor of (permanent) migration under usual circumstances. One Hindu friend---considering me perhaps the best free counsel available around---opened his mind, and discreetly asked about migrating to WB. I slapped very hard his face, and left the place saying: "You go to hell if you don't like your land of birth".

For whatever reason, he meekly stayed back, and now he is a flourishing businessman with a more flourishing family, and still a friend.

However, Migration under unusual condition of Bangladeshis--as the result of uncontrolled population explosion---to 7 sister states is a possible phenonmenon and is under study by international sociologists. Naturally there are conflicting opinions.

.
Sir,i am talking about recent history..like...from da 80s......compare wb with da rest of da indian states and u r gonna find it quiet contradictary.........also communal people people like u will surely be amazed by seeing da extent of good relations betwn da indian and bangladeshi bengalis inspite of a bloody history.......bengalis wdnt do anything like what, some kashmiris, are doing in name of religion.......nor wd they give up their brotherly relations with bd people........thnx

Calling me communal for telling the truth wont take away the problems of unrestrained illegal migration from Bangladesh which causing all sort of security and social troubles in Assam ,other NE states and even some major cities of india.

U as a Bengali might even love to see more Bangladeshis in WB,but that certainly not the case for ppl in other parts of india.

And if u are so much in love with Banladeshis why dont u them ask to stop providing safe heavens to all sort Terrorist groups ranging from Ulfa to HuJI who execute terror attack on indian soil.Even indian groups like SIMI are being supported by Bangadeshi terror groups which are funded through ISI.Now dont tell me that u have no idea about these anti india activities of Bangladeshi groups which were sanctioned by previous regimes there.

Read the title of the thread again and see what LT Gen SK Sinha who is ex-Governer of Assam ,army man and a reputed security expert indicating at and its implications instead of living in some fools paradise.

.
Sir,you are misinterpreting me.......i am a stern opposer of insurgency.........i said dat i dont see any problems in wb being a islamic state,as long as de are not converted by force, and are loyal to india..........do u thnk dat bd govt is very happy and giving dis terrorists a saturday night treat?? U can compare dis terrorists wid da indian ulfa, maoists or even da mangalore rioters ,who r hard to neutralise even dou we know where they are.................islam is not bad, individual activities makes it look such.,..........thnx

There is no terror group funded by BD govt. They collect arms from China to Thailand other places not known to me and once in a while use the route through BD which may not be correct anymore as we already took measures regarding to that. When Russian planes droped arms and landed in Delhi, you never blamed that to Russia. You never blamed Thai or Myanmar for the same cause that you are blaming BD. Why??? Is it because BD is a muslim majority country and it is easy to sell to the Indian Hindu nationalist???
Just wake up.. Your terror group is your problem and dont throw the dirt bag in BD's way.

N-E militants hiding in Bangladesh: Manmohan

Guwahati, October 6,

Some of the militant groups fighting Indian rule in the volatile northeast are operating out of Bangladesh, the Prime minister said on Wednesday, after an upsurge of separatist violence in the region.

More than 70 people have died in a wave of bombings and gunfire in the states of Nagaland and Assam that began at the weekend which New Delhi largely blamed on tribal militants.

"The fact that some insurgent groups can take shelter in Bangladesh has been a source of concern to us, and I have myself made representation to the leadership of Bangladesh at the highest level," Manmohan Singh said.

"It is our hope and expectation that the territory of any neighbouring friendly country will not be used to encourage insurgent activities which seek to destabilise our country," he told reporters in Mumbai, the country's financial capital.

Dhaka has repeatedly dismissed Indian allegations that it hosted anti-India militant camps, and relations have been strained in recent weeks. Singh's comments came as New Delhi deployed more troops in the remote state of Arunachal Pradesh to stop attacks by militants from neighbouring states ahead of a state Assembly election on Thursday.

India's resource-rich northeastern states, which share borders with China, Myanmar and Bangladesh, have been a hotbed of secessionist movements for more than a half-century. Ethnic rebels say India has exploited oil and other resources without developing the region.

Singh, who has faced criticism from the BJP for failing to stop the violence in the northeast, said there was a broad intelligence warning about the weekend attacks in Nagaland and Assam, the worst in recent years.

"But I think terrorists have the advantage of giving us a surprise. So momentarily they have an upper hand, but I have no doubt about our resolve to meet this challenge," he said. The vote in Arunachal Pradesh will be followed by Assembly elections in the huge western state of Maharashtra on October 13, seen as a first test for the communist-backed national Congress government since it took power in May.

"We are closely monitoring the borders with Assam and Nagaland so that militants cannot sneak in to disturb the polls," Arunachal police Inspector General P.N. Agarwal said. Arunachal Pradesh is a relatively peaceful state in the turbulent northeast where dozens of separatist groups are fighting for greater autonomy, statehood or secession.

Bangladesh even offered India to visit any place in Bangladesh anytime in person if they had any information regarding to terror camp. This is exceptionaly friendly gesture to any country. After that, raising those issue is nothing but bullshit.

.
. A significant driver of Hindu emigration has been the Enemy Property Act, later renamed as the Vested Property Act, through which the Bangladesh Government has been able to appropriate the property of around 40% of the existing Bangladeshi Hindu population (according to Dr Abul Barkat of Dhaka University).

There is a misunderstanding of vested property act. The act introduced for the protection of the people who left without settling their property. Govt took control of those property so that if anybody ever wishes to come back and claim those properties, could be returned. Nobody could buy or sell those properties and Govt even cant lease them out for more than a year term. There are cases when some indian decendent came and claimed those properties and sold them in open market.
The controversy arose when there are hindus who claimed that some of the properties are made vested (like some distant relative left), even though they had rights to it. Those are legal matter and can be settled in court. Govt is working, to settle those properties (its very complicated matter) and should be given to the rightfull owner.

1.In the north the Himalayan nations and China, in the east the Arakan Yoma - Naga Hills, in the south the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal and in the west the Rajmahal Hills; that is our traditional/historical homeland. This was broken up into pieces by the crafty crook British to continue their colonial mischief. Neither the populace nor any of our political leaders of the time was privy to this.

2.We must regain what is ours. India must withdraw itself from the colonial shies of the British that she is wearing here. Leave us alone and let there be peace and happiness.

Bangladeshi gameplan? Are we talking like bangladeshis now(that too forumers here who are mostly low paid workers or students).

The economic migration happened due to opportunity. I will like them go back, but attributing their individual choice of making money to a grand strategy is stupid to be honest. Mr Sinha is trying to be a politician now.

I have more respect for bangladeshi politicians than this guy.

Assam historically was a muslim state and was under the jurisdiction of bengali nawabs. It should have been ours along with the
seliguri corridor. But a retarded mouthbaton handed these large chunks of land to Nehru & patel. He was always baised towards
INDIA.

Well let history take its course. Indian can not really blame us if Assam, Bihar and Orissa wants to join us to make grater Muslim Bengal. Can they??? We will welcome them in the future Insh'Allah.

There is neither a game nor a plan here. The wishes of the peoples will prevail at the end, and they will decide their fate themselves. No people in this region have accepted as done deal what the sly British had sold to their local agents - none of whom, btw, had belonged to this sub-region.

Well as it seems to me you are a good fortune teller and a very knowledgeable person... will you answer me 1 question!!! In the last 1000 years for how many years the Indians including your ancestors were as slave of the muslim ruler and the british!!!

Do not take it as a personal attack as I am talking in terms of historical perspective.

Even though I'm a staunch opposer of caste system, but i must say class shows in peoples' way of presenting themselves. Don't take it as personal attack, talking in historic and social perspective.
