Coming to think of it, I do miss my cha, my thin arrowroot and my Statesman. The Statesman was good while it lasted; the Telegraph just doesn't cut it.

How I wish.

No, it was a troll caught in the morning sun. If I had spent that time with a blended, I would have been happy. I have a Gold Label (donated by an admirer) which I am saving up for a very special occasion.

It might surprise you to know - or it might not - that most thinking Indians have similar objectives. My list would be your list, reversed.

Its a shame indeed, but it is ultimately the lasting vestige of partition for all spheres of human activity in subcontinent.

I shudder to think what the total current and final cost of enforcing yet another new man made line on geography and history is and will be.

I have seen many Pakistanis here that I wish were Indian and vice-versa....but we have inherited the situation we live in and have to make the best of what it is.

DRDO's DRDL has already demonstrated their own scramjet engine that ran for full 20 seconds!Aim is to extend the operation for atleast 2 mins or more! The main challenge in any scramjet combustion is sustenance of burning at supersonic regime(the airflow inside the combustion chamber is supersonic!)

Maybe it was for the better, I cannot say either way since there is no actual access to an alternate timeline outside of hypotheticals. I am talking from the context of if people were more concerned about their welfare and what connects them rather than what divides them. But if people didn't believe that on either side, then yah obviously it would have cost a lot more to forcefully keep people together politically. But no referendum was done to gauge this and many Muslim leaders who supported staying in Indian union were left high and dry as well. Founding fathers and those behind the partition certainly did not envisage the way things would turn out....I doubt they would have rushed and clamoured to divide people like they did just because a few elites thought that was the only way real problems could be solved permanently. They couldn't see the future and we can't change the past...its best not to dwell on such its true....but sometimes I see another person from the other side I admire and I wonder what might have been if all people were more like him/her on both sides. That is all.

i have got my collegues working on scramjet engine project at DRDO. There area lot of countries working on scramjet engine tech at the moment,US as usual is leading the pack.Australia on the other hand do not have any scramjet engine project- i mean dont know of any project.
China too is producing a lot of research papers in gas dynamics of scram jet propulsion etc

Its a US-Aussie military joint program on scramjet research. They have had some notable successes.
