Israel's Iron Dome system foils first rocket attack

qassam can easily be modified to change direction.....add a couple of fins that change their axis once every 10 seconds....they can powered by a coil and a spring ...not a big deal

And thus completly missing the point of murdering civilians. If you change direction - you change destination. Take into consideration that there arent that many people living in the southern parts of Israel. Its already a longshot if you fire from gaza and actually hit anything with a cheap rocket, launching a cheap rocket that swirrles and dances in the air will be pure waste.

Though one could always argue that they will develop a spin&rotate system that will be GPS guided but...... Iron dome can counter that too.
Only way to counter the system will be launching a massive barrage that will justify Israeli aggression. Basicly its a dead end for Hamas.

Come on Hamas, Keep carry on, your daily 100 rockets can bleed these terrorists at least $ 1 Million daily bases ....................

Smoke trail from a rocket fired by Palestinian militants in the northern Gaza Strip towards Israel is seen , Saturday, April 9, 2011. Palestinian militants fired more than a dozen rockets at southern Israel on Saturday and Israeli warplanes killed four militants in the Gaza Strip in the most intense fighting since Israel's 2008-2009 offensive in the Hamas-ruled territory.
Note that rockets are launched from urban area.

An Israeli missile is launched from the Iron Dome missile system in response to a rocket launched from the nearby Palestinian Gaza Strip close to the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon on April 9, 2011. A truce declared by Palestinian armed groups in the Gaza enclave unravelled even before it could take hold as militants fired dozens of projectiles into southern Israel and the military retaliated.

how many of these are required to bring down one inter-continental ballistik missile?
