What are you talking about? There are 1.6 million Arab citizens in Israel today -- many times more more than lived in these lands during Muslim rule.

During the first Brutish census in 1922 there were 13 thousand Muslims in Jerusalem, today there are 250 thousands.

Are you denying that the exodus in 1948 took place? The people living in the West Bank and Gaza strip were based all over the current state of Israel when the country was first created. A large number stayed back in Israel but a larger number left and the gates were permanently closed for them. They have subsequently been living as refugees in their own country in the West Bank and Gaza strip.

When I talk of settlements, I am talking of the new ones which are being created in West Bank. Can the Arabs from the West Bank create similar new settlements in the state of Israel?

This so called exodus is blown out of all proportions. When Zionism started Israel's terrotory was either desert or swamp. Jews started to develop thiese areas and it attracted Arab immigration, both from other Arab countries and West Bank and Gaza. From 1880 to 1948 the Arab population of Jaffo and Haifa grew 8 times, in same time West Bank towns and gaza grew only 2 times. When war started all these people went back to their homes (some 20 miles away). And then they suddenly discovered that they are refugees. And they can recieve aid from UN till end of their lives. And their childrenb can recieve aid from UN. And their grand grand children... Food, water, electricity, health care, education... all payed by UN. As result many who did not even move anywhere signed as refugees.

850 thousands Arab Jews were wiped. Thats real exodus.

They are citizens of Palestinian Authority. I cant create settlements in Palestinian authority either. But Jerusalem Arabs can go anywhere in Israel.

"Israelis blasted the station for putting an obviously exhausted captive into the spotlight and fishing for compliments for Egypt, while Egyptians criticized the broadcaster for focusing on the Israeli captive instead of the hundreds of Palestinians released."

Shalit Interview Sharply Criticized by Just About Everyone
I was watching it this morning when i was going to work, i was like why the hell is he having an interview with Egyptian TV ? Maybe he agreed to have an interview, who knows ? It didn't look good thu........

Now, i am really glad this guy is out, 5 years is too much, and he seems like a nice kid actually. I am also very glad that the 1027 Palestinians are out too, most of them been have been suffering. I think it is time Israel respect humanity, the world, itself, and the history of Abraham, Issac, Jacob, Joseph, Mosses, ect.. and give the Arabs their rights and start to live together peacefully and develop this area together.

If these were 1000 militants, or even 100 militants, I doubt the exchange would have taken place.

How many "militants" by your definition and count were released?

Militants are militants. I think the people that were released were jailed for petty crimes, not for terrorism. I doubt there were militants in there. All of this is only my personal opinion.

Why not check the facts - right now - to see how your opinion holds?

600 Hezbollah men sacrificed their lives in order to save one old child murderer from comfort jail. Great victory :victory: No wonder that Lebanon is a failed state with such leaders.

280 released had life sentence - that means they killed at least one person.

^^^either that or were wrongfully accused..
yeah, all 1000 are wrongfully accused.

If Israel was holding innocents we were not defeating terror. But terror is defeated.

Looked at it. Now look at Page 2, post # 27.

All I'm saying is, if these were serious, hardcore militants/terrorists, the exchange would have never been made.
