I don't know about anyone else but if I were driving that car with me or/and my family/kids inside and I was surrounded by 8-9 people/kids with their faces masked throwing stones at my car while I can hear gunshots being fired in the background,

I'd be very very scared, for my family if not for my self.

I'd try my best to escape without harming anyone but if left with no choice, I will not think twice before stepping on the accelerator and running away without caring about who gets hurt and who doesn't.

It's called self-defence and there is no law in the world which can/does stop anyone from doing that.

There are no laws/ethics/morality when human life is at stake.

Only one thing matters - Life or Death. Period.

Why are they throwing rocks on the car in the first place ? Such violence does not help anyone.

The driver did stop but it was too late. What else do you expect when you stand directly in front of a moving vehicle and throw rocks on it ?

Dont say Indian or Pakistani wouldn't do it. I'm sure the Israeli would not want to do it too. Give him the benefit of doubt, he was in panic. Maybe he did want to get out and help the boy but was too afraid to get out. I hope the boy isn't seriously injured and recovered well.

You are taking an issue of micro level to a macro. You think if that guy had stepped out of his car he would be praised by those kids. They'd had killed him or seriously injured him.

The boy seriously didn't care for his life, and obviously he didn't care for the drivers too.
