I love the Youtube comments.

Surprised about the content though. Almost all the answers are very positive. There might be some hope down the road eventually. Some are a bit, how should I say, ignorant.

What I got is as long you are Arab it's okay, but if you are Arab plus Muslim then not okay
He is more of nationalist than religious

Arabs and Jews have a common ancestry, culture, language and religion so here is no hostility in here only because of the zionist movement there is hatred even though it's stupid to turn the arab israeli think into Islam vs Judaism thing because there are different religions of both sides

Both Palestinian and Israeli movements were nationalists and secularists like Ben goriun and golda Meir were atheists and Palestinians like George Habash and wadee haddad were Christians

They literally all look Arab. But really, they can pass off as Arab peoples but look like a distinct Mediterranean peoples.

According to racial theories in the past, Arabs were considered a branch of the "Mediterranean people". This actually makes sense when you take a look at geography, history and modern-day genetics.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabid_race

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mediterranean_race

This is about facial features BTW not necessarily skin color although Arabs and Southern Europeans can come in many skin colors.

Anyway all of those asked were either Jews from Arab countries (Arab Jews) or Arab Jewish/Mizrahi/Ashkenazi mixtures expect for that Ashkenazi who looked apart.

Actually when I first got to know about it, it was a great surprise that the majority of the Israeli Jews are Arab Jews or partially Arab Jews.

The guy making the videos (an Israeli Ashkenazi married to an Arab Jew) probably has a bias since he is an Israeli but nevertheless some interesting videos.

Throughout most of history there was no hostility but rather friendship and great cooperation. Revisionist history will not change this fact. Just to make one example from over 2000 years ago. The greatest Jewish builder in history (King Herod The Great) was half Arab/Hijazi (mother an Nabatean princess).

He was the second son of Antipater the Idumaean, a high-ranking official under ethnarch Hyrcanus II, and Cypros, a Nabatean. Herod's father was by descent an Edomite whose ancestors had converted to Judaism. Herod was raised as a Jew.[12][13][14][15][16]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herod_the_Great

Edomites were a Semitic people originally from Northern Hijaz BTW.

However that was a different time period and different people and as you say no Zionism existed.

Anyway whatever our views are, to end this conflict, should be one of the biggest priorities but we and the wider world have been saying that for 70 + years. Eventually I hope that sanity will prevail.

I noticed they still keep their original background attached to them when they asked they answer we are Iraqi or Moroccan or Yemenite or any.

.
Arabs and muslims should know that jews are humans like any other human and that Israel stays forever (baqiya) and that there is no difference between jews and zionists, almost all jews are zionists. The difference between jews and zionists is only in muslim/arab mind.

Israel should know that they can't go on forever opressing palestinians like this and thinking that they've support of west forever. One day that changes or balance of power will change. Both (palestinian) Arabs and muslims in general and Israelis should accept a 2 state solution.

Not all of them are preserving their distinct Arab identity but Iraqi Jews are different in general. They're well-known in Israel for their strong connection to the Arab culture.

Actually jews, who are occupying Palestine are not real jews. They are just converts. Basically the White Jews, who make the majority of Israel are just an extension of western imperialism. Its a Western terror and bullying franchize in middle east, so that no body in middle east is crossing lines, without instructions.

Wrong. Yemeni Jews are more known for retaining their culture and also tend to be more conservative. They are also the newest arrivals of Jews into Israel from within the MENA region due to them being part of the last huge wave of Jewish migrants after the exodus in the Arab world after the end of WW2.

However in general all Arab Jews retain aspects of their culture as those videos as proved. Whether Yemeni (many of the Yemeni Jews are actually from modern-day Southern KSA), Iraqi, Moroccan or others.

However Israeli culture in itself is a mixture of Arab culture and Eastern European (Ashkenazi). All the favorite dishes in Israeli cuisine are of Arab origin but now Israelis consider it as "Israeli culture". Similar to music and many other aspects. It's natural given the ethnic composition of Israel which is 20% "Israeli Arab", almost 2/3 of all Israeli Jews being Mizrahi (vast majority of Mizrahi Jews are from Arab countries) or partially Mizrahi.

Some Israeli Mizrahi musicians who also sing in Arabic are somewhat popular in their countries of origin. One such example is Zion Golan among many others.

Arguably the Yemeni Jews also have the richest Jewish (native to the Middle East) folklore and they were a key community in the revival of Hebrew as a language in Israel and many other traditions. They are also known for having the richest traditional clothing and to be the best singers in Israel. Not to mention their cuisine.

My friend, most Israeli Jews are actually so-called Mizrahi (vast majority Arab Jews) or partially Mizrahi.

However it does not matter as they have adopted a new nationality and consider them Israelis first and foremost. Identities can easily change throughout history. As more mixing takes place in Israel few will consider themselves as pure "Askheanzis" or pure "Mizrahis". Otherwise Israel would not succeed as a country. Israel is about a Jewish homeland and if you are a Ethiopian Jew of dubious genuine "Jewish" ancestry, you are as welcome as the Slavic looking Meyer from Eastern Europe.

I did not explain myself very well. Yes, Yemeni Jews are proud of their Arab heritage - this is no secret. But Iraqi Jews still retain a very specific Iraqi national identity which is rather unique among the Arab Jews.

yemeni and iraqi jews are very old communities.
zion golan and mydad tassa (yemen)
shiran avrham(half yemeni half iraqi)

I should know that as partially Iraqi but I honestly have not observed Israeli Iraqi Jews having some special affinity for Iraq that say Israeli Yemeni Jews have not for Yemen or Israeli Moroccan Jews for Morocco. Or even other communities. If you have some scholarly work to confirm this claim, I would be interested in reading it as I find it surprising, if true.

Yemeni Israelis are the best musicians, I have heard. Would not surprise me.

BTW did you know that many of the Yemeni Jews are actually from modern-day Southern KSA? Most Jews lived in that region and Northern Yemen. Fewer in the South.

They identify as Yemeni because there was no KSA until 1932. So they identified with their historical region, say Najd, Hijaz, Eastern Province, North, South etc. and the regions within those regions.
