Israel will be held Accountable for Gaza Attack: Erdogan

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday that Israel would be held to account for the children among 40 people dead in three days of air strikes on Gaza.

I'm sure Israel did Turkey a disservice by not being harder on Erdogan after the Mavi Marmara affair. Israel could have accused him of complicity and deception - or at least negligence - for his role in the illegal attack on Israelis who boarded the ship. Instead, by letting him off easy, it's become "in for a penny, in for a pound" as Erdogan's protective spirals grow ever larger in the effort to protect himself and the budding and now anti-democratic Islamic movement in Turkey.
