Prime Minister Erdogan had done a commendable job in Turkey but talking for the sake of talking is not about to help anyone here. The Palestinians need practical, commonsensical help to build up their state. The only solution is to co-exist with Israel. To that end, Hamas needs to be discouraged from risking the lives of its people in a futile conflict with Israel & encouraged to be seen as a reasonable voice. The present government of Israel has earned a reputation of being extremely unreasonable & rigid but the Palestinians do only damage to their cause with this sort of foolishness. Israel now has both the chance of showing the Palestinians & Hamas its power (as if they needed a demonstration) as well as to be able to argue to the world that the Palestinians are terrorists & that therefore Israel's hardline policies against them are justified.

Nobody has ever accused Islamic hardliners of favoring brains over brawn.

Having said that, what could Hamas do? Any government would be forced to respond if a foreign entity committed brazen assassination of one of its officials within its territory.

Israel knows that it has unsurpassed advantage both in military and propaganda assets. Israel can get away with things that no one else can, including the US.

Yasar Arafat tried to achieve truce with Israel, numerous times. Hot heads on both sides tried very hard to deny him that.

Palestinian cause was already lost with Arafat's death, all they can ever hope to achieve is to stop the bloodshed. Even a momentary ceasefire is acceptable.

All Hamas' ever achieved is to get more Palestinians killed and bring more destruction to Gaza that's why it's a true genuine terror organisation.

We will eventually establish military presence in Syria and create some serious deterrent that will keep Israel in check.

I must say you look at the bigger picture.
I have never seen a more dumb people then the palestinians,instead of accepting the camp david and later agreements to have a own state and later do whatever to whome ever(they would have had a own state own military)they first divide in to fatah and hamas(fight each other)shoot''rockets''to israel in the hope of killing civilians and then expect the world to back them up?
I only feel bad for the innocent palestinian civilians who will die bcs of hamas(the modern taliban )
And Erdogan is just barking as usual(nothing he can and will do)to get the muslim world to say he a good muslim leader.
