Israel had no "guardians" in 1948 and 1967, and probably can't count on anybody as a "guardian" today. Although Arabs famously claimed otherwise, only in 1956 did Israel actually have Western allies as fighting partners in a conflict with the Arabs. In 1973 the U.S. did play the "guardian" role when it went to DefCon 3 to keep the Soviets from deploying airborne divisions to the Middle East.

Cut off that aid and what do you think Israel will feel compelled to do to preserve itself?

The U.S. does not have the same arrangement with Pakistan. It used to, but in 1965 Pakistan abused the relationship, attempting in its war with India to turn its security pact with the U.S. into a license for unlimited aggression against India, even though Pakistani forces were losing! (Don't argue with me, go read the declassified cables of the U.S. State Dept. example) It's from that date that the U.S.-Pakistan relationship began to suffer severely.

what 1965 war has got to do with the US, india was the first 3rd world country to build nuclear bombs, still US wants to supply it with more nuclear tech, US is a snake if you become its friend it bites you.
