Palestinian Land is shrinking to a verge where nothing shall be left except palestinians as a small Minority within Israel.Things are changing slowly in political world but alot is happening on the ground.

Yeah Trump is insignificant, the timing is also insignificant. Israel is trying to hide behind US cover with the timing. When it is a unilateral decision it is making. And it doesn't want to absorb the backlash. Out of these 25,000, fifteen of them are due to be built in East Jerusalem, which is recognized by UN and US, Arab world, and international community general as the capital of a future Palestinian state. So these actions are illegal in every sense. And Israel should face sanctions targeting whatever is funding or orchestrating this construction. It would put the settlements to an halt.

In the US and Europe too, many fundraisers are conducted to raise money for the Israeli Gov't to go towards settlements, which should be forbidden. It's hard to take these cases up legally, since simply it will be rejected. Only things that go through are civil matters. Israel would be protected in this case.

The PA so far has made an comment, which is the one in the OP, I haven't seen anything further come out yet. Anyway, for those who don't know, these aren't simply 'homes' built in Israeli territory. They are homes and other infrastructure built on Palestinian territory(West Bank), and they can't house Palestinian Christians or Muslims or atheists. They only house Israeli Jews, or global Jews immigrating to Israel.

The Palestinian-Israeli conflict is the mother of all conflicts in this region and the root of much trouble. Therefore the entire region should join hands and try to solve this conflict. The wars/conflicts elsewhere in the region makes this more difficult but it should not serve as an excuse.

What is happening is completely unacceptable. This has been going on for FAR too long without the international community doing anything/being able to do anything/willing to do anything. I don't know what to do but something must be done.

Reading such news really pissed me off. As if there were not enough of problems already.

Wars/conflicts are one thing but what Israel and the Zionists have been doing for 70 years is unheard of in the history of this region and there is no reason to downplay it and I don't care how "well" Israel is doing with all its massive support on all fronts, mass-migration from the entire world and other million favors that Palestinians and people from the region can only dream about. It is no feat to oppress people that are weaker than you either. Every bully can do that.

What is worse, don't expect Westerners to relinquish their support for Jews since they are still paying for their sins that they committed against the Jews in WW2. Without this legacy there would be no reason to prefer Jews over Arabs to this extend.

The Muslim leaders are useless/spineless (from hypocrites like Erdogan, Khamenei to docile Arab regimes) so don't count on them. A few Arab regimes tried decades ago against all odds but did not succeed due to the existing ground realities. Previously nobody else tried and afterwards nobody has tried since. Islamists cannot save you either despite really wanting to as the entire world/region/most Muslims would attack them before them ever attempting to attack Israel. I honestly don't see a solution currently. Anyone that ever thinks about seriously attacking Israel will be attacked by the US/entire West.

Israel is the adoptive son/daughter of the West and as long as the adoptive daughter/son is not making too much trouble/noise he will be accepted and supported. Sadly this is the reality and Arabs or Muslims for that matter in our current state and with all the other existing problems can simply not do anything other than nice speeches, economic support, showing solidarity, hosting the largest Palestinian diaspora etc. that should never have ended where it has but remained in its native lands.

It's incredibly hard not to feel solidarity with Palestinians (hence the massive pan-religious and pan-ethnic support that Palestine and Palestinians enjoy across the world) as this could have happened to absolutely everyone in this region with no exception.

In fact I think that the West Bank should be flooded with weapons so locals can defend themselves. If a major conflict needs to erupt before the international community recognizes/wakes up from its sleep and realizes that this Zionist policy (illegal settlements etc.) are making the already lengthy conflict even worse, it might be worth a try but this is very easy to say for me since I am not living in the West Bank nor will I suffer the consequences of such decisions. Nobody outside of the West Bank will.

If some radical Zionist Orthodox Jews were trying to steal the land of others anywhere else in the region they would be met with bullets and rightly so.

Anyway I think that I have said it a few times before but Abbas is a spineless person.

I agree, currently there is nothing that can be done as it played out in the past. Today requires a different approach. The West Bank, unlike Gaza, is actually defensible. If the peace initiative fails, on every front, then Arab states could turn a blind eye to weapons smuggling into the West Bank. Everyone thinks there is a fringe amount of hope left because the misleading statements by the Israeli Gov't about considering 'peace talks' some time in the future, to discuss more 'peace talks' for another time in the future, etc... Just buying time. This is why an ultimatum is important. It will strip them of their ongoing diplomatic strategy.

What we need is an ultimatum, which can be presented in an goal oriented manner, ie we want to hit this deadline to achieve these specific points. Then everything is on the table from then.

We Palestinians are just as confused/frustrated with Abbas as you are. He can only play the UN card, which US renders obsolete. He has nothing to do know, besides get with supportive states to formulate a clear and concise political strategy. Which he is not doing. We need a new independent leader and a technocrat style gov't. Sadly, such a gov't will not be recognized nor allowed to function by Israeli forces.

The most important thing that Palestinians can do currently is to unite on all fronts. Leave political/ideological differences aside (that are used by outsiders, sadly, to exploit the Palestinians and weaken the Palestinian cause, Israel are world champions in trying to do that) and work for the goal that should transcend everything. The goal of establishing a Palestinian state with everything this entails.

Palestinians are patriotic and well-educated people by large. Every Palestinian family, even those within Israel, have had this old conflict impact their lives in various ways and mostly not for the better obviously.

Once this has been achieved the second best option is for the Arab world to establish a consensus (there more or less exists such a consensus but not as clear as once before the current regional rivalries kickstarted) which ALL or at least vast majority of all Arab states can agree too. There is the Arab Peace Initiative 2002 that most Arab states agree with and keep sticking to but maybe this should be modified in order to pressure Israel/West further? Because Arabs should act as an extension of the Palestinians. As a second row in other words. This pressure should transcend politics and civil life. This is already happening by large but apparently its effects do not reach the power circles in the West/Israel or the coordination must become better.

Thirdly the Arab-Americans play a crucial role here. They should continue their educational rise and try to become as influential as possible in the US in order to put pressure/influence American foreign policy to their favor. Similar tendencies can be seen in Europe where the Arab diaspora (15 million or so nowadays) is much bigger than the US one and here grass root pressure has differently played a role in pushing countries such as France etc. to condemn Israeli settlements and other elements as much of the voters are of Arab/Muslim origin.

Of course similar can be said about Muslims overall but Palestinian (naturally) and secondly Arabs can play a more crucial role here and should naturally play a more crucial role.

Anyway Abbas or not those settlers have taken land once owned/inhabited by native Palestinians. What happens with them? Who is going to help them? This is what I am must worried about because it would be tragic if they were forced to migrate to Lebanon or Jordan. This is what Israel wants. They have already for decades talked about Palestinians creating a Palestinian state in Jordan.

It's a difficult situation but honestly something must change. Something ground breaking. Otherwise Israel will just silently do what it does and then it will likely be too late to correct their criminal behavior. So prolonging this conflict/the conflict remaining a status quo only acts to the benefit of Israel.

We've learned that lesson very well. When we are week the world loves us and we die, when we are strong the world hates us and we live.
