well for me the way Israel is thinking as for them
if true it is right one as now Assad don't make problems in Golan heights
if the opposition come to power many terrorist will come to power and make problem

Israel will not sleep well then

In short, Assad suits the Israeli interests.

In short, Assad suits the Israeli interests.

Not really. he has been virulently anti Israel from the start (besides his father). Part of his legitimacy is derived from antagonism with Israel.

But in this case, overall, he's just the "lesser of the two evils". FSA, by now, is mostly dominated by Islamist militants. If they come to power, the fear is that they'll allow open infiltration of militants to Israel through the border. Also, chances are they will continue cooperation with Hezbollah because when it comes to being anti Israel, sunni shia divide doesn't really matter (as in case of Hamas Iran cooperation).

If you ask the Israelis the question of whether they want a despotic dictator who had control of his country's borders. or extremist rebels who could create chaos - then we'll take the despotic dictator.

If you ask Israelis what they want for Syria - it's a democratic nation with freedom for all minorities.

Democracies have rarely gone to war with each other. The more democracies in the region, the fewer wars.
