So we Turks are not saying we will have a 5th gen. fighter tomorrow but it is at least a 20 years process and we are more than half way!

Turkey would be acquiring the f35 if they did not buy s400. They might yet still. Customers of the f35 are very few and far between and are needed badly, that's why the Gulf countries are now being recruited. Israel is not relevant on this issue.

The couple F-35s Turkey has, should be sold to the Russians and the Chinese for 300-500 million each, since they won't work and the contract has been broken by Washington, so sale of F-35s is allowed. They should do this secretively and quietly. The deal with Russia is to give safe passage to Russia via the black sea. And then freight China's F-35 over land. TVC engines could be studied better and WS-15 could get some more progress.
