Let's avoid calling it a war because it simply isn't. A war requires a certain amount of casualties/damage on both sides, and that is never the case regarding the Israeli side. Nevertheless, Israel never missed attacking during US elections periods. It usually attacks around that time. Their last major assault on Gaza which led to deaths of 2,200 Palestinians took place about a year and seven months after it's 2012 assault. You can expect a similar time frame.
Mate, read my post. No Palestinian seeks any confrontation. Israel seeks confrontation for political purposes. And Israel's actions constitute of state-terror. I can show you many examples of Palestinian civilians being deliberately targeted, even whole families. If Israel declared an 'operation' against the Palestinian people they won't just sit and watch while their people are being brutalized unjustly. And if lobbing some simple rockets is all they are capable then so be it. The onus is on the world to prevent such an assault and end Israeli military actions whether that me through UN proposal or meeting. And then world will resume peace process. The point here is that Israel intends to instigate violent confrontation of any sort to derail peace process. Hope you understood my point.
