Israel’s new ambassador to India Daniel Carmon has expressed his country’s interest in conducting jointDefence R&D and manufacturing with India.
“We are willing to create platforms of joint R&D to pinpoint shared challenges, discuss and plan solutions together, and possibly even manufacture them together.


This is also a great opportunity for us to learn from our Indian counterparts,” he said. Not limiting himself to that, he added that another field of cooperation “that has the potential to grow like the defence cooperation is HLS and counterterrorism.” Last Year, India and Israel signed an agreement less aimed at formalizing and creating a sustainable framework for cooperation.

Joint R&D could be explored in developing a Vshorad system, Light Howitzers, and subsystems for LCH/ALH WSO among a few. We also should look into developing some remote firing solutions for LOC and IB.
