I am curious. I am not very well informed of the issue at hand. News reports seem to suggest that Israel's attacks are merely retaliatory in nature and the the responsibility of the attacks, and the consequent loss of life, lies with the hamas and it's attempts to fire rockets into the heart of the Israel.

This is too simple a reading of the events. I am sure there's another side of the coin which I have missed. Can someone please throw light on Palestine's perspective??
