Israel helps India clean up the Gangesriver

Biggest threat to Ganga is from 10s of Barges and big Dams the government is building to stop, re-route the flow of the river to generate electricity

. .
Not possible without cleaning up more than a billion indians at the same time
thats coz india always missed leaders of the Red book like Great comrade Mao to clean up indians ala chinese style in cultural revolution and through great leap forward.

J&K disputed territory, and they barely touch Indian Punjab. Who cares?
but you forget one thing that there is 700000 IA sitting and shitting there in disputed territory from the fear of freedom fighters.now 700000 men does creat lot of garbage including 10 million civilian population. So its great worry that human garbage does pollute the river waters of indus basin.including jhelum, chenab satluj ravi vyas.

:blink: WTF do you mean?? are you equating your terrorists as freedom fighters?? you train them in terror camps and send them to blow up civilians in other countries, that is not called freedom fighting, that's called terrorism.
And, do you have any proof that the whole IA is sh!tting in the Indus waters, the same water that is going to your home? :what:

India needs to build hundreds of waste-water treatment plants along the Ganges and it will still need at least 20+ years of constant improvement in order to raise the quality of the water to an acceptable level. Here in Germany we started to clean the waste-water in the 1970s and until today most people (including me) are still afraid to jump into the rivers although the authorities have given green lights to swim in them.

There still remains one problem what to do with the highly toxic waste that has been filtered out of the waste-water. It's a huge headache we still face in Germany.

I agree that this is the right way forward. Unfortunately, our government is not a hundredth conscientious as your government is.

Rhine still seems a dozen times cleaner than what Yamuna and Ganga are here unfortunately.

I always admired Germany's love for rules and obliging them to the end. You have a very fine government and a population that has a very high integrity.

We must learn from you.

आज तक तुमने कभी किसी चोर को अपनी चोरी अपने दम पर मानते देखा है क्या? :coffee:

नहीं न? तो फिर यहाँ किस सोच से इसकी आशा रख रहे हो?

Regarding the bolded part, isn't he/she proof enough? :P

It was the green movement from the bottom and not from the top that forced the top to change. If the industry had their way, our rivers would still look like a sewage.

We still have our arseholes who illegaly dump their waste into the rivers or in the forests, but fortunately our environment police have many technologies to find out the culprits. Although the fines are ridiculous (due to heavy lobby works from the industry) the companies get punished by the consumers and the media. It has become very rare that illegal dumpings are found.

Next undertaking will be to equipe our harbours with electricity access for docking ships so they have to turn off their dirty diesel engines trashing our air.

Come on guys, its a good initiative. Not only ganga, other rivers also needs cleaning.
I think most monsoon fed rivers dont get dirty as they receive very high rainfall for short period, and sweep everything away.
I have not seen ***** in other rivers (south, east or west) compared to ganga.

. .
It will just get dirty again, Israel you're wasting your time and money, suit yourself.

I found this great link from where you can download a simple file for transliteration in any of Indian scripts. Check your PDF inbox.

Maybe instead of planning to go to Mars (lol) perhaps you people of a 1.3 billion nation should clean up your river systems first before going to other planets. 1.3 billion people cant manage to clean up its own river? What good are you people.
