This is not about a religious issue. Its an Israeli Arab issue.

About 30% of Israeli Arabs are Christians. About the same amount of Palestinians who don't have any voting rights and live under Israeli occupation as recognized by the UN are also Christians.

So should you now compare the standard of living with Christian countries?

And which type of countries would you pick? UAE or Qatar which have one of the highest per capita income in the world? Or may be poor African countries which some like Ethiopia despite being a Christian majority country has low HDI indicators.


Please read the article and comment on the content rather than blanket statements and the same old Muslim/Anti-Muslim rhetoric.

The article is about just how they are Muslim extremists and Christian extremists, there are equally fanatic Jewish extremists.

The only problem is that the people you expect to get the hell out are those who have a longer history in the region and the place where their great grandparents are buried.

In other words, its like the tribals from Pakistan taking over the Kashmir valley, establishing their own law and then telling the Kashmiri locals Pandits and muslims that if they don't like these new laws, they can pack up and leave.

You sound like those Pakistanis who argue that the extremists have no support because they have never won a national election and people ignore them - but look at the reality, they did not need to win any election to corrupt society with their wrapped religiosity - the same is the case increasingly in Israel - it's unfortunate that instead of realizing this danger you choose to be defensive.

Israeli Arabs don't pay taxes, exempt from university entry evaluation tests, how about discrimination against non Arabs?

Well I know for a fact that Israeli Arabs pay taxes if required. But what are you views on the article itself?

More specifically on the Haredim. The ultra-orthodox jews mostly don't pay taxes, are exempted from military service and their purely religious education is funded by the rest of the secular tax paying public including Israeli Arabs.

This not about Palestine, legitimacy of Israel e.t.c. e.t.c. Its specifically about the extremists / ultra-orthodox Jews.

The standard of living of the blacks in america during the sixties or seventies was higher than the standard of living of the black people living in Africa, still those black americans felt that they were being persecuted by the white americans. The topic is not about standard of living, it is about discrimination and persecution. You are talking about standard of living to distract attention away from the topic.

Your knowledge of a fact is limited, Arabs don't pay income tax, the only tax they pay are the purchase tax on whatever whenever they buy.

Yes ultra-orthodox dont pay taxes because a lot of them have no income and yes they are a burden on working Israeli society, they have high rates of welfare receivers so do the Arab population, they have low GED entitlement of only 8% Arabs have 9%, ultra-orthodox do serve in the army by volunteering, they have special units to meet with their needs, also Arabs serve in army by volunteering. Yes i see ultra-orthodox as a threat to Israeli future, they are alienated so do the Arabs, i see religion in a whole as a threat to human kind

Its good that we see threats from islam and some israelis also see threats from their religion. Maybe the maijority on both sides dont have as many problems with each other as we sometimes think

It has always struck me that Islam and Judaism are much, much more similar that Christianity is to either. Christianity was meant to be a reform of Judaism. Islam seems like a reaffirmation of Judaism, with a different "chosen" people ............

I have heard that argument before. FYI, the "Islamic Man" is not that bad off, specially in America. Having said that, instead of being plain racist, you should look at the economic reasons why they were never able to move out of poverty, or succeed like other groups of people. Or do you think black people are naturally just dumb and its in their gene to be a criminal? If you do, I guess we all know whose the real dumb one here.
