Human Rights Watch says pictures like this point to white phosphorus use, but Israel denies this.

Human Rights Watch analyst Marc Garlasco says white phosphorus air-burst shells have a unique visual signature, and they have been fired "dozens of times" over Gaza.



UN staff inspect a lump of burning matter at their bombed compound which Human Rights Watch says appears to be white phosphorus, although Israel has denied using it in built-up areas.



The head of the UN aid agency in Gaza has accused the Israeli military of firing what was believed to be white phosphorus shells at its compound.Mr Ging said the fire caused by the phosphorus was very difficult to extinguish.

there's been a controversy over the issue if WP was used in Lal Masjid. The Government denied the allegations. EVEN if they were used, they were used against armed Militants holding a compound. It wasn't rained down on civilian areas dozens of times using artillery and A2G missiles.
