What's new

Islamic culturalization of India since 1947.

Of course it is more diverse but it is slowly being homogenized and those vast regions of India have now shifted in the way described in my infographic. Kerala, Assam, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal or even Delhi look more "Pakistani" then they did 40 years ago. Today majority of women from reports I have seen wear shalwar kameez and often have a scarf draped around their shoulders. The ubiquitous Indian Sari is now a rare sight even in south or east India.

And Pakistan was always more homogenous given our compact [relatively] geography and long, shared history.

@masterchief_mirza Whilst this process of Islamic culturalization is taking place the strange thing is there has been rise of Hindudtwas who claim to be out to clean India of the foreign Islamic culture and influence.
Shalwar kameez is easier to wear and maintain, hence younger generation choose this over sari. My wife wears sari for like once an year. Daily wear is slowly shifting to jeans and top.

. . .
biriyani, kebab, mughal architecture, urdu poetry and whathavyou... of course these are all part of Indian culture and embraced by the overwhelming majority.

burka culture, separatism, terrorism, non-assimilation into the mainstream... stuff like this is frowned upon by the rest.

burqas , or purdahs , were actually an inherent part of Delhi's Muslim urban culture until now

It doesn't seem like you are willing to accept the culture of your own Indian Muslims ?

Oh boy, don't care
(Even though some great points were made by OP and others but this is more of a general statement)
We need to stop thinking about India in terms of their domestic issues and just focus on Kashmir and threat they present

I don't care if they have low caste issue, issues with Muslims, class devide, if they are islamized or not

It's their internal issues as a society to solve

We need to look inwards and also look towards our west to balance between the 2 sides and not be so beholden to the SA identity

let the powers to be understand thier psychology or what not

I'm pretty sure OP's intention was to discredit those ideas of culture of Pakistanis and Indian Hindus being the "same", as Indians like to claim
