Please read the history of 1965 war. War is not going to limit in Kashmir if war happens.

There are no more than 200 militants on Indian side. Plus militants have advantage during peacetime to ambush with uncertainty and bleed enemy slowly.

In war or open hostilities, Militants are of no use. Their effectiveness only relies on element of surprise, which is degrading even in peacetime in Kashmir due to high levels of alertness maintained combined with spear that Indian army developed with time, Rashtriya Rifles.

Since Indian Army opened Arty, you are no longer seeing daily news of ceasefire violations. I wonder why.

India's Northern Command (Heeresgruppe Nord) which is the world's largest field army has over 300,000 soldiers in Kashmir.
