Islamabad Police Introduce Body Worn Cameras for Police

Islamabad Police started using body cams at selected check posts. IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan along with DIG ops met with Minister for Interior Syed Ijaz Shah and briefed him about the usage of body worn cameras. At initial stage 10 cameras were purchased.

Most body worn video cameras due to them being Ruggedized to meet IP67 /MIL-STD-810 means the devices are quite bulky.

Even the most popular one used throughout the world "Axon" is reasonably large:

Too expensive to purchase and issue to every officer, the camera pictured comes with a mount which can be placed on a high-vis tabbard or rain coat.

This should be spread in entire Pakistan. To control corruption and also that Police does its job right way and if some one put pressure on them they also have video proof. Body Cameras and Cameras on Police Vehicles are a must.

All they gotta do is to redirect the renovation and tea parties budget of csp's for a year to make our rankers safe
