Islamabad High Court grants bail to 23 (PTM) protesters held for sedition

Please I am too old for this shit, have some respect. Dont put your words in my mouth re-read what i said, if you cant understand then ask your elder. because what I have wrote is quite comprehensible, unless ofc you want to twist and carry out with nonsense

It was a simple question. Since you tried to differentiate between the two perspectives.

As mentioned please re read, The answer is quite comprehensible. Or get someone to make you understand that answer. It cant get any simpler than that I am afraid

Hate speech is not free speech

Urging people to kill soldiers is not free speech

Abusing other ethnic groups and open is not free speech

If there’s evidence of hate speech or incitement to commit violence and terror. Then please do the government and prosecution a favour and join the prosecution, help them submit evidence and make a case. Because as of yet, not even a basic report was produced before the court.

I disagree with your characterisation of PTM here. They are at their core tribals from FATA who have legitimate gripes with the way things are, their demands are both fairly reasonable and understandable. They’ve been extensively smeared as anti-state, Indian/Afghan/CIA/misc foreign agents. And no doubt some of them are seditious, and maybe even some have developed ties with foreign agencies, but that’s not cause to dismiss them all and to dismiss the support they have among some of the public in tribal areas. We made these dangerous mistake in East Pakistan.

Furthermore, I’m weary of accepting establishment smears of calling people seditious.

You might not agree with some of this but that’s because our school curriculums refuse to teach genuine history, we’re indoctrinated rather than educated in public life too.

There was a time where opposition parties nominated madar e millat as a presidential candidate, challenging then dictator Ayub Khan in a presidential election (1964 or 65, I believe). She was smeared as anti-state, an Indian agent, Ayub pulled the leavers of the state to ban her publications, extensively rig the elections despite overwhelming support for her, issue fatwa declaring women as a head of stage is against our religion etc. She published a book on quaid’s life, ‘My brother’, it was banned by our establishment. Only 20 years after her death it was finally allowed.
Bhutto was hanged in a kangaroo court etc.

But then we live in a weak state like Pakistan where people would get away with such crimes and with people like you defending those crimes

I disagree, our state isn’t weak. It’s very powerful, competent? No, but powerful...

Our civilian leadership is both weak and incompetent. But the establishment exercises too much control. PTM actually exists as a direct result of this imbalance of power, in a normal functioning democracy, the conditions that created PTM might not have so easily persisted. Apologies if I’m speaking in a cryptic way, I’m conforming to our own standards of political correctness here.

So you agree with GOC 7 Div saying that drone attacks are killing terrorits, but when Mohsin Dawar says it, it's a lie?
It was a simple question. Since you tried to differentiate between the two perspectives.
Simple question but the answer isn’t palatable. You can’t square some circles no matter how much people try. :-)

Govt can appeal in SC ..

But fir needs to be amended drop sedition and terror charges and introduce hate speech and incitement of violence

The evidences are out in the open. Here are some of them:

https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/10-privileges-that-ptm-enjoys-but-not-tlp.652174/#post-12065390

But then Pakistan is a weak state ruled by pussies and sissies.

IHC and Pakistani state would ignore these open evidences just like you would ignore them

They are at their core tribals from FATA

They are tribals only from North and South Waziristan

In fact in last provincial elections in FATA, PTM managed to win only 1 seat out of 4 seats of both North and South Waziristan

Don't force these b@stards on whole of FATA please

They’ve been extensively smeared as anti-state, Indian/Afghan/CIA/misc foreign agents

Because that's what they are

but that’s not cause to dismiss them all and to dismiss the support they have among some of the public in tribal areas

Nobody is dismissing their genuine demands. What we are actually dismissing is that enforcing this group on whole of Pashtun population of Pakistan by our inaction against them

We made these dangerous mistake in East Pakistan.

The dangerous mistake we made was ignoring Agartala conspiracy and even then some Justice Athar Minallah of that time released Mujib calling him "educated youth" who can't be a traitor

Funny state of Pakistani judiciary. If he is educated then he can't be a terrorist or a trator

Furthermore, I’m weary of accepting establishment smears of calling people seditious.

You are weary of calling traitors as traitors because of your own bias and personal prejudices

Just like any Pakistani lefty

You might not agree with some of this but that’s because our school curriculums refuse to teach genuine history, we’re indoctrinated rather than educated in public life too.

Don't give me that BS man. I know history well

Only 20 years after her death it was finally allowed.

And one thing you forgot to mention is that Baba e Pakistani liberals Bhutto was at the forefront of all this campaign against Fatima Jinnah

You didn't mention that and I am not surprised :)

Bhutto was hanged in a kangaroo court etc.

Who bhutto? Oh the civilian martial law administrator who also used to be election campaigner of Ayub Khan

I disagree, our state isn’t weak. It’s very powerful, competent? No, but powerful...

This thread itself is a proof that Pakistani state is weak

Or else terrorists and traitors won't be released just because they are "educated"

PTM actually exists as a direct result of this imbalance of power

LMAO

Is that why PTM supports guys like General Raziq in Afghanistan because military enjoys too much power in Pakistan??

Who are you fooling buddy except yourself? :)

Substance over form people. Learn that by heart.

Ask your self why that AWP turd was really protesting?

I have had the pleasure of enjoying the company of some of them. One of them was even my econ teacher more than a decade ago.

They might be able to fool their ilk with laal theory but they can't those who have experienced life outside of kohsar market coffee shops.

No matter how anyone spins it that AWP turd, gabeena and the others are actually supporting PTM and their blatant racism and hypocrisy.

One just has to go through their tweets. People here may have short memory but the internet does not.

We pushtuns will remember the treachery of these PTM bastards, there pseudo marxist AWP supporters and their color revolutionist backers.

There will be plenty of laal stuff from the bodies of these turds. If the state does not take care of them, the "people" will.

In case anyone had any doubts w.r.t this AWP turd and his opinion w.r.t PTM.

Okay, lets go at it like you want it to. I'd like to know your opinion about what GOC 7 Div stated to media in 2011.

DO you believe he was saying right?

The Operation Zarb-e-Azb by Pakistan Army which internally displaced at least 929,859 people belonging to 80,302 families from North Waziristan was targeting all Pashtuns and created backlash. There was a viral video Twitter in which a Pakistani Pashtun woman claims that Pakistani army soldiers have taken away her husband, and are coming to her home with rape-threats. Blaming and punishing whole ethnic group of the action of the few is unacceptable. Why would Pakistani soldiers threaten a Pakistani Muslim woman with rape ? The huge backlash in Pashtun area created PTM which is opposing Pakistan Army and "Punjabis". No one recognizes that Operation Zarb-e-Azb also targeted the Pakistani civilian population and created huge backlash.

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday dismissed a petition filed by Alamgir Wazir — nephew of Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) leader and MNA Ali Wazir — seeking bail in a sedition case against him.

Wazir was arrested in Lahore for participating in and allegedly addressing a Student Solidarity March organised last year.

Civil Lines police had lodged a case against Wazir and other prominent participants of the students march under Sections 124-A (sedition), 290 (public nuisance) and 291 (continuance of nuisance after injunction to discontinue) of the Pakistan Penal Code in addition to offences under Punjab Sound System (Regulations) Act 2015 and Punjab Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance 1960.

During the proceedings today, the prosecutor said audio and visual evidence looked at by investigators had positively identified the accused.

"Using objectionable language against state institutions is equivalent to disrespecting the country," the prosecutor added.

Wazir's lawyer, Asad Jamal, on the other hand argued his client's innocence saying there was no concrete evidence under which his client should be continuously detained.

The court however dismissed Wazir's petition after hearing the arguments.

Taking to Twitter after the verdict, Jamal said: "It is deplorable that a colonial law which was meant to curb dissent and freedom of speech and to put freedom fighters behind bars remains on the statute books and our state continues to apply it in a regressive and anti-democratic manner and contrary to the progressive view of the freedom of speech."

He added that Wazir's continued incarceration is "against the law and how it has been interpreted in various judgments of superior courts".

"We'll soon approach the Supreme Court of Pakistan for [his release]. We hope justice will be done even though it has already been delayed beyond all limits," he maintained.
