Islam takes root in land of bikinis and Carnival

Brazil has been a place for bikkini, and if it becomes Islamic nation, soon the mullhas will corrupt the people with false representaion of Islam and its teaching resulting in women covered in burqa will lay on the beaches and after that who will go there?

Chill yar it won't happen  Brazil is not that kinda country they love the samba beats too much

I never understood why people see "sheiks" as retards or something. My father is a tribe sheik and he has a PHD in economics. :hitwall:

because arabs could control the world with thecwealth they got...but they are being controlled .... thats why.

Its the truth to you and what is that based on conversions or the fact that many muslim countrys have a high birth rate.

And its also true that many westerners (particularly white people) have a low birth rate which is why western government have to import large amounts of migrant workers. In other words the natives are becoming the minority in their own country, no one is to be blamed but the westerners themselves.

As Allama Iqbal put it (i think its still relevant today):"Ask the wise men of Europe, Their ring in the nose of Greece and Hindostan: Is this their civilization's highest rung—. A childless woman and a jobless man?" [Translated by V.G. Kiernan]

But even besides that Islam is spreading in the west, especially in latin America and among Hispanic Americans:

What do the general Saudi people make of such actions and people? is it like who you know matters and they see themselves above the law and untouchable due to their royal connections is that why they think they can do what they want?

The princes no longer have a free playground in Saudi Arabia so they all sort of migrated to Europe mostly where Royalty is not uncommon in Europe. King Abdullah made sure no one is above the law. But in Europe the general conception is that he is a Saudi Royal so we must not mess with him, so they exploit that there.

Think it's the fast changing times we live in, nowadays parents just want Indians to do well in school and become Dr's and IT manager's. I learnt more about religion from watching Ramayana and Mahabharata on TV then what my parents told me because some of the things they do as a kid made no sense to me until it gets explained to you such as some rituals.

Same here. Also Ramayana & Mahabharatha books written in my mother tongue than in Sanskrit helped me get a better understanding.

5,000 Saudi princes get a yearly stipend of about $200,000 (£126,000), but some were "fabulously wealthy".

Thats like a adult version of pocket money no wonder they go wild in Europe where they can be free to do what they please.

Ramayana i need to watch again because the last time i was like 8 or 9 and I don't remember it much but Mahabharatha had more action and battles that made it more intresting, guess that's why i remember it much more.

Sanskrit is hard to learn i think, I just read it in english translation even then some of the Gita is hard to understand if someone does not explain certain things to me.

Brazil is a beautiful country, congrats to the brothers and sisters reverting to Islam. :smitten:

Yeah we hate this fact too. Anyways the Royal system will need an overhaul soon. All the heads of the family are now in their 80s and King Abdulaziz (founder) made sure it is brother to brother not father to son. not long till there are no more "brothers" left. I wonder what will happen to the country then.

Anyways on topic good news. Islam is a religion not associated to a country but to one's self. it is a petty that the west chose Islam to be the buggy man fo the world after they were done with the Communism as the boggy man of the world. It created a lot of hate based on religion instead of political belief like it was with the soviets. So they effectively taken the world to the Dark ages with that move.

I too was very small when Ramayana & Mahabharata was first shown in TV but I remember all of our neighbours coming to our house on Sunday morning (as our family was one of the few that owned a television that too color in those times). It was like some sort of festival.

Then after a few years Ramayana, Mahabharatha , Jai Hanuman & Jai Srikrisha was translated to Malayalam & run on our local television. It was a real help because many of us still don't understand Hindi let alone the hard Sanskrit-Hindi spoken in the original show.

Anyways it was a real shame that the Bible show got cancelled because of threats from some extremists. Otherwise I could had had a better understanding of Abrahamic religions.

Gita is hard to understand in the Sanskrit Version. I was again helped by TV where one Swamiji taught Gita in our language along with moral tales from past and present & also from Jataka Tales.

Maybe democracy? like in Egypt would be a good option once the Saudi royal family release absolute power it would bring positive change. Religion and politics should not mix thats when all the trouble starts the state and Church must be separate entities.

I think there will be a huge problem once it goes there from the Royals and the people but I think in the end it will turn into a constitutional monarchy in time. We do not want a revolution we want an evolution. But until then the way things are going are in the positive direction why risk it with a revolution? This is mainly why there is no "Arab Spring" in Saudi Arabia.

Thank God for TV is all I can say without it we would be less knowledgeable on dharma. Sometimes I even watch Peace TV with Zakir naik just for the hell of it when im bored but thats like when its 1am in the morning and you need something to put u too bed.

Mate Julia Roberts and Rusell Brand is not "many". Its all publicity stunt, Hindus don't need to bother about such non issues. We should let the others rejoice at such pointless "achievement".

well said...
