Just wait and see - when there is no scope for employment, family formation, total destitution
coupled with high population growth, what else with the young males do ? just look at Afghanistan as
as a starting point. These same problems are manifest in Pakistan too.
when you have nothing to lose you lose it.

Hope the GCC can stay sane and I think they will. They have matured tremendously over the last half century, and

The only reason Islam thrives is because most muslim countries are poor where people think its normal to have 8 kids to support the family and the children have no say in the matter of whether to be religious or not. Religion is a choice not something your born as, I dont think your truly a religious person unless you chose the path, people who know nothing else never chose to go on that "righteous" path so to speak, they were made to be that way by their parents and never really went on the quest for answers themselves, they just accept it without thinking.

Average Muslim fertility is 3 kids per woman..that's just one baby more than the minimum fertility rate required to sustain a population. So your mantra of 8 kids per woman is wrong..

Secondly, many Muslims nations are super rich, many are super poor..but as a whole, Islamic World/Muslim World is a middle-income economic sphere with per capita income of around $11,000 on average (Purchasing power). So the idea of Islam thriving in poor regions is as correct as idea of Earth being flat.

It is Christianity that thrives in the poorest regions and becomes totally irrelevant/thrown out when societies develop...

Therefore, the "only" region Christianity thrives is sub-saharan Africa. While middle-income spheres (Latin America) and developed spheres (Europe/U.S) have literally thrown christianity out of their lives/culture and these societies are least religious when it comes to it. (Gallop/Pew Poll results).

If the Sunnies are the ones increasing then this is a dangerous precedent as we all know who is trying to take humanity to stone age all over the world ..

But I highly doubt it's due to conversion as everyone dislikes it and rightly so as it is against the basic tenets of human rights, and human advancement ..
