U can seek UN help aswel but that will not make any difference. Nobody really cares for those 39 Indians. They're our citizens And we must rescue them ASAP. Yesterday MEA spokesperson claimed that Indian govt. know the location of abducted Indians. So there's your Intel. It's time modi sarkar show some balls and send a commando team to Iraq.

ISIS has no qualms about killing our folks in an instance.

Sending commando team without prior intel is simply madness and will result in our troops losing their lives.

If you are referring to Operation Thunderbolt by Israel, it was in a very different situation. There was a live intel sharing and it was a hijack so all the countries in the middle knew what is going on. Here, they were Indian expats who were suddenly captured by ISIS who took Iraq by storm.

The problem is ISIS has not demanded anything from us in return for our folks. They don't want money, they don't want strategic demand and they are simply using the Indian hostages as labourers.

Now if we send shock troops there, they will simply point their AKs at them and kill them.

And unlike USA or Israel, we don't have a 'assume hostages are dead and fight on' policy.

Hmm- we are fully capable of fighting our wars ourselves- like we are doing in NW- the jihadists- we fight against them not with them-

I was laughing at the idea of forces to free these guys. Not making fun of your forces but I believe any such exercise is highly risky and might result on total failure and would put lives of hostages in danger. Even if someone would have said Pakistani forces to conduct an operation of this scale I would have opposed it. Anyways I hope those 39 guys come back to their homes safe and sound.
