The growing strength of ISIS-K, the Islamic State's regional affiliate in Afghanistan, has unsettled both the new Taliban regime in Kabul and neighboring countries, including China, Pakistan and Iran.

You lost me at UN envoy says.. That just means the opposite they are absolutely full of shxt.. They just love to stock fear everywhere by being hyperbolic. They are predictable because they are using same pattern over and over again. You will be figured out if you do that obviously

Its Taliban putting on a different uniform to blackmail the world for money.

This is another reason Pakistan needs to continue and complete the border fence and fort constructions along the borders with Afghanistan and Iran, as well as building strong forts along the motorways in these two provinces as well as a more robust intelligence network to detect and neutralize these saboteurs. Daesh are spoilers looking to sabotage what they perceive as soft targets.

They needs to be man in the loop systems to avoid killing or harming unnecessarily. we don’t want to start beef with tribes people doing smuggling. Smugglers need to be arrested and prosecuted, and if found guilty jailed for long enough to disincentive the behavior.

Having said that I agree we need remote weapons systems (and smart mines triggered by troops after a positive ID has been done) to protect our troops, as well as a host of sensors, not just along the borders but major motorways (especially CPEC routes) near the areas of heightened potential militant movements, possibly on cell towers to share civilian infrastructure to relay data to command posts.

IMHO, a lot of the forts need to be upgraded into “Star Forts” so they can self-protect themselves more properly, especially against threats like the BLA that maybe hiding along the borders of Afghanistan and Iran. With these fort designs (as well as MRAPs and some light attack helicopters) our forces should be able to cover their own flanks and hopefully we can avoid the loses to our troops such as when the BLA attacked our convoys.

Not just money, but recognition. Stating there are more extremists out here that are even worse than us, if you want to keep them under check then recognise and support our regime.
