What's new

"ISI is My Enemy"- Shahabuddin Liwal, a member of the Taliban ministry's cultural commission .

you think they'll fight their fellow tribes for the sake of rationality or Pakistan?
you indians so far away from afghans dear . they will fight for gain power history prove it afghans untie to fight with someone and when that someone will go they fight themselves . talibans are afghans too . sooner new groups and disputes will be errupt between them . no matter what at the end of they they are uncivilized society which understand language of AK-47 only .

.
We don't have much choice, except to support Afghan Taliban, at least for the present.

. .
If he talks to much a JDAM might pay him a visit
ah wait. the more likely scenario I think most people had in mind was Taliban taking FATA, Swat or even much of KPK. no one believes they can just run over Punjab or even Sindh to border India.

This is nothing new. Afghans have tried (and failed rather miserably) to invade Pakistan since its independence.

.
What appears, to me, is that the current setup in Afghanistan is not going to last long; because they are in no mood to rectify themselves.

On the contrary IEA is gonna stay here for decades approx 5-6 decades to come maybe even a century. They have solidified themselves solid if the Americans or NATO couldn't there is no power or element inside locally that could undo them. They are patient and relentless they have perfected the art of patience to perfection. They will stick around atleast per minimum for a half century as the leading Afghan gov't the only way they could go is with time.. They could wane with time and their only enemy is actully time.. If like example 5-6 decades from now a younger population will come who may want to go a different direction but IEA is this generation and the next generation and the next generation but the 4th generation may differ and could go different direction

Same thing they did to Americans, whose boots our establishment can't stop licking.

You are mistaken that they can do anything to us. It's 2 very different kettle of fish.

They attacked American forces and thier Afghan allies by hiding as civilians and attacking them using guerilla tactics.

We are inside our own border - we cannot be attacked the same way.

Also they defeated NATO and the ANA because the Afghan invasion was a resource grab not a genuine reaction to thier security concerns. They were not willing to put up with the body count of a real war, so they used proxies.

They installed a puppet and let him do what he liked, the ANA were incompetent, poorly trained, corrupt and led by donkeys. They were unable to defend themselves and when they saw the money and leadership leave - they left too. Many had unpaid wages for months.

IF the Taliban had been a genuine security threat to the Americans they'd have carpet bombed every village a single bullet was fired from. They'd have burnt them all with napalm. They would not have stopped short of ethnic cleansing or genocide.

The day the Taliban faces a professional fighting force face to face they will be wiped out. Don't forget how quickly they were defeated in 2001.

Also don't forget that if we close our border - they starve. They survived because we didn't have the means or the desire to close our border. Now it is manned, fenced and mined. Whenever we want we can deploy a few hundred thousand soldiers and shut it down entirely.

Agree. Its only a matter of time.

They will never attack the west again or take money from another Bin Laden. This is how you teach these cockroaches a lesson. They were happy to spend billions and billions to make their life a misery. It was a generational lesson.

Pakistan on the other hand, borders wide open, bhai bhai  Just like Indians, it's all about me me me, take take take.

They retreated on purpose tho back in 2001 besides I don't understand why you even feel somehow threatened by IEA that is what I am picking up on in your tone which is quite unnecessary they ain't coming your way guraantee with a certainity unless you called upon them in assistance which they will answer the call. You will call upon them in a critical time that is my prediction and they will come to your aid.

but aside from that they are completely different entity today they are much stronger then 20 years ago but come 2 decades from now they will become formidble and if you add another one on top of that they will become even stronger but that doesn't mean negative but actully quite the contrary.. They ain't here to try some bullshxt but they are here for the long haul. Hence even if they became stronger then Pakistan lets say in the next 30 years (Which is highly unlikely because Pakistan will still be stronger but lets just say it for the argument sake) They won't even come your way.. Pakistan has a stragetic immunity against them and that is LOC and as long as Pakistan sits there in front of the gangus they will not interfere in Pakistan's matters but only do trade and regional connectivity leaving Pakistan completely alone hence why I find it quite surprising when I hear tone that is competitive towards IEA that is just silly in my honest opinion. Theorically speaking Pakistan should seek to strengthen them in very way possible because a stronger IEA is more beneficial to them then a weak one. I also see people questioning their alligance to Pakistan quite easily..

IEA will also not see war or anything of that sort for long time because it is not in their interest either but rather they seek trade, reconstruction and rebuilding economy etc etc they are busy with this and already have their hands full and they are not in a rush at all. They will just slide back into the background and you won't hear much of them for years if not decades

First of all, Taliban are not a military threat to Pakistan and secondly the only competition anyone can have with Afghanistan is a race to the bottom. You need to focus on the message and make less assumptions on tone. I intended what I wrote to be very matter of fact.

I am a Pakistani, my interests will always be Pakistan first. The Taliban were a means to an end to remove an aggressive Afghan govt and use of Afghan soil by Indian proxies, as well as NATO presence from our border. That has been achieved. That is it, I don't trust the Taliban at all. I have no reason too. They're a bunch of farmers and semi-literates with guns, pretending to be a govt. It would be foolish to trust them to be competent at governance. They have to evidence that.

I think we should be honest with them, I think we should recognise them as the govt of Afghanistan and support Afghanistan to develop, but in return we should expect a secure border, that means nobody using Afghan territory against Pakistan. I don't care if they like us or not - as long as they stay in their lane.

When they step out - i can say as a matter of FACT - we will put them in their place.
