exactly, Americans saw the opportunity and joined in. Afghans were fighting with the occupation forces well before the American weapons arrived, actually the Americans were far more careful and discrete about it in the beginning. we being the neighbors with sizable Pastho population were bound to be affected specially when Soviets together with Khad and RAW had already started terrorism inside Pakistan and their generals were openly talking about invading Pakistan. ANP before it became a mainstream political party .. was an outright hostile Pakistani state and a working tool of KGB and Khad. people have half baked and limited knowledge they read few things and have selective memory and just join the bandwagon of blame it all on Pakistan (state, establishment)

Shameful chapter in history of Pakistan. This useless ISI couldn't prevent terrorism in Pakistan which was direct result of this agency crimes against Soviet Union. All Soviet Union was doing is helping Afghan government bring peace and order. If I was president of Soviet Union then would have bombed Pakistan to hell.

we supported the afghans as per the will of US and then we started killing them as per US orders. we raised slogans of jihad and ummah in the eighties and then we raised the slogan of sab sa pahle pakistan. we have no principle. i am sorry to say that. we are in this mess of terrorism because of our own actions. we created an evil and that evil is destroying us. as far as US hypocrisy is concerned they have no limits and no one can question them. they are above UN and their today's action regarding jerusalem proves it.

Correction, we didn't support Afghanistan but afghan terrorists. Two decades later we would kill afghan terrorists which should have been done in 80's. Now we know Soviet Union was right all along. Soviet Union was supporting Afghanistan against terrorists.

we should have provided access by developing cpec project then by negotiating with russia and china which we are doing now so there was no reason for war.
