I dnt think it was a need. It was a good decision by usa to use us and start propaganda and end the soviet union . After the end of cold war usa throw us back like garbage

we supported the afghans as per the will of US and then we started killing them as per US orders. we raised slogans of jihad and ummah in the eighties and then we raised the slogan of sab sa pahle pakistan. we have no principle. i am sorry to say that. we are in this mess of terrorism because of our own actions. we created an evil and that evil is destroying us. as far as US hypocrisy is concerned they have no limits and no one can question them. they are above UN and their today's action regarding jerusalem proves it.

yes exit strategy was bad! it was in our interest to defeat SU but we kept aside our interest at time of exit which is still costing us.

sir i am not as informed on this mater but lets say we dint involve in afghan war and SU won and moved on to us (lets assume america propoganda is right) then what.do you think we at that time were strong enough to take on ussr alone?

If you see at Number of commie helpers in Pakistan,it was possible in long run.But there was something more,Pakistanis were out on settling scores about 1971 unconditional support to India in East Pakistan by USSR.US was out on mission to avange vietnam.Pakistan and Afghanistan were hostile to each other from start,USSR joined that camp im 1971 and presence of USSR in West of Pakistan,pressed Pakistan to do so.

so it was in our interest to throw russia out of afghanistan but exit strategy was bad.

now we should try and work on relationship with afghanistan but afghanistan has no stable govt no one knows who will rule over afghanistan in future taliban isi or they wil have democracy.so future doesnt look good when it comes to our relationship with them and india has claws deep into afghanistan that will create problems for us in the future.
